Dave's Farm & Forest Videos
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 ต.ค. 2018
Located in Wisconsin, USA, I try to make videos that I would like to watch. Some of them are unique videos I was lucky enough to film, such as the ship videos. Most of the focus is on videos that are based on my interests. Expect to see videos on Oliver Tractors, Farming, ATVs and UTVs, Trail riding, Making wood, and Stihl Chainsaws.
Driving Home In The Snow
In this video I show you what it is like driving in a major snowstorm. I don’t recommend doing this, driving in these conditions is dangerous, as well as taking video.

มุมมอง 2.4K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I put together my some of my footage of the regular tractors plowing. The field demonstrations are one of my favorite things about the Half Century of Progress Show, and there were a lot of cool setups. You can tell the tractors were working hard to turn the heavy soil because the diesels were smoking as they were near full engine load. Make sure you check out more tractor show vi...

The field demonstrations are one of the best things about the Half Century of Progress Show, and I save you a lot of walking in this video. Put a comment in on your favorite machine in this video, there are a lot of rare mounted corn pickers, and pull type corn pickers. Make sure you...
Large Tractors Plowing at the Half Century of Progress show.
มุมมอง 32211 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I put together my best video of large tractors plowing at the Half-Century of Progress Show. There are a lot of cool tractors in this one from the 750 horsepower Earthquake to Kinze repowers, and a few Steigers. Hopefully this video is loud enough so the TH-cam commercials are quieter. 😂
Farm Progress Show 2023 The New Holland Stout AI Cultivator
มุมมอง 62ปีที่แล้ว
I stumbled onto this little machine in the New Holland display. I never saw anything like it so I wanted to learn more. It uses Artificial Intelligence to tell the difference between your crop and weeds. Then it cultivates your crop and removes the weeds to increase yield. Links: www.stoutagtech.com/smart-cultivator/

Moving 3 cement trucks down the shipping canal.
I'm a Wisconsin native and I knew you lived in Wisconsin in the first 10 seconds of hearing you speak. The Wisconsin accents are definitely unique!
I just bought 2 to restore and I love them! Many parts are still available but some are just unobtanium. The day/month/year they were built is stamped inside the bottom of the steering wheel hub.
Living on the edge!

Plowing: the forgotten art
The Earthquake is a mammoth but they all are unique monsters of their time
The guy in the blue shirt was always in the way! 😂
Just to let you know that cub cadet does not making any of these log splitters, they make it under Troy built now. This is absolutely a great log splitter, I have the same one but with the 27 ton. Take good care of it
Still solid
I have a 620 baler, and a 1650...I can't get the close coupled hitch to work. The PTO doesn't like making turns... The tractor is set for 30" rows, I have the tongue moved over to get the baler pickup beyond the tire, But I don't have nice straight flat fields to bale. So any Ideas on what I don't have set up correctly? My only idea is to lengthen the tongue and PTO to lessen the angle on the u joints in the PTO....
If you have the tractor narrowed up for 30” rows you should be already helping the problem. Check your PTO U joints for rust and lack of grease, that will cause problems. I checked the internet for Oliver 620 baler and the tongues did not look all the same. The 720 had a longer tongue, and that will help the operating angles of the U joints in the PTO shaft.
Does it have hand warmers?
No, it does not have hand warmers.
Hello, is there a reduced kickback chain(semi chisel) that would go on a ms 660 28 ‘’ bar 3/8 .050, I don’t want a full chisel and that what my dealer want to sell me,Thanks
Yes, you should be able to get that chain if you are in the USA. It should be a 33 RM3 91 going off of the chart for the 661.
@@davesfarmforestvideos8395 Thanks Dave I’m in Canada I’ll try to find it
What’s the price tag on that?
The list price is $284,000 but they might deal on it to make a sale. The thing is it can work day and night, doesn’t call in sick, works on different crops, and can out cultivate several people.
Neat! I never saw this there and I was in the New Holland booth
Did you see the methane powered tractor?
Nope
Hey Dave cool video! What do you know about the spark on these? I'm working on a HT3813 for a customer and ive got very weak spark, using 6 different spark testers 😭 You're so right about the selling feature comparing it to a car! Exactly how I sold them starting in 1985, then came the 4514 and 4518, the RT5000 with all wheel steering. Awesome equipment, WAY ahead of their time. Anyway I'm retired from the that now but work on same part time out of my house. Let me know if you can help me with the weak spark issue please, thanks!
Great video, I got a lot of good information, thank you.
Great video, I got a lot of good information, thank you.
Thing is flying!!
14:44 The yellow chain is "professional". That's just sooooo wrong. Are you saying green is for non-pros? There is a physical difference in the chains...one of which is very noticeable.
I didn’t come up with the names, Stihl did. They felt that you should be at a professional skill level to deal with the kick back that yellow professional chain can produce. Professionals also run green reduced kickback chain at times, so green is just reduced kickback. Do Not use yellow professional chain if you are a beginner, stay safe and improve your skills.
It's pretty much like any other snowblower blowing a small amount of snow. Not impressed with the performance nor the amount of snow it's clearing.
Here’s the same blower a few years later, same yard th-cam.com/video/Pou0PILJXVU/w-d-xo.html
Hi I just got 1 and I can get it started. The battery works and it will start if I touch the solenoid with a screw driver but the ignition doesn't get power. What do u think it might be
If it turns but does not run I would start by checking the fuses. You should also check your deck engagement lever and switch, it will not run if the deck is driving, or if the switch thinks it is driving. After that I would check the wiring harnesses to make sure everything is hooked up, and there are no damaged spots.
How many bales can you get in the bale basket?
I think they would get around 90 to 110 depending on how they fall, and if you go in the basket and pile a few.
thank you, a great video
Hello! Awesome classic tractor doing a fine job. Greetings from Portugal.
What in the world is a Flintstones stamp doing in your pocket? 😄
That is what I was thinking when I found it in my bed.
You have little Justin Bieber, Losey has Little Herman, and Dave has little Freddy 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like they were getting good yield from their field
Looks like things went well. I always likes runnin' corn.
probably to level those deep ruts
And building a better seed bed!
Pregunto para que la pasada de la herramienta en esas condiciones del suelo? Espero respuesta convincente
Long live the 3406/C15 pre DEF for sure,,,, long gone now though... In 2022 AGCO has completely dropped this line. No more articulated tractors, all fixed frames are FENDT and only the two tracks are available in yellow Challenger... which are FENDT anyway. visit the web sites,,,, they're gone... the row gators and spreaders will go also, give AGCO a couple years, Challenger will be gone for good... They havent used CAT parts for over 10 years, so time to dump the royalties for the brand name they have been paying... Challenger is toast....
Rock on!
Why would let go the drive lever when you have HS transmission. Old habits? Very unefficient way to swift. Time's money and Honda delivers, but it is wasted here.
I guess you fixed timing. How much did start cost? I'm looking to grab 1 of these that's not running
I got the starter off of Amazon. It shows it at $66.30, but I thought I paid more than that. The good thing is there is no core charge, so go get the new one and you don’t have to send your old one back.
Good video, nice country side! You mentioned the tornado area, hoping to see that in the next video. I remember when that happened, curious what it looks like now
I did not make it to that area on this ride. This was just a day trip after I couldn’t find a room. I also wonder what that looks like now.
Lots of power but sure doesn't clean the pavement at all
This is a gravel driveway, so it is adjusted so it does not clean all the way. This helps to keep it from picking up gravel and running it through the blower. You can adjust the skid shoes to clean pavement, or adjust them to not pick up gravel.
Would like to see more of the 4 wheeler!
I have a playlist for the four wheeler. The other videos are trail riding, and I have another trail riding video to edit. th-cam.com/play/PLF8jyuXTf-fCPvyafD7wgP3mX6Zw0BgYQ.html
Cool!, I have a 42" gauge diesel.
It appears that I am your 100th subscriber. Do I win an award?
Do you like Welker Farms, or the Millennial Farmer?
@@davesfarmforestvideos8395 I do but rather support smaller channels like the ones you and I have.
Does that put a strain on the baler having to push the bales up like that?
Not that much, because you adjust the baler chute different. You adjust it so the strings are right in the wagon, so by having less resistance in the chute it comes out about the same.
What is the name of the bale accumulator ?
That is an E-Z Trail bale basket. I will give you a link to their website. www.e-ztrail.com
Thank you !! I have found every other option through web search, except your type - which I’m interested in
Good work 🛠🍻
Nice video, this will come in handy for anyone new to saws/sharpening.
I want to eat some snow 🤤

The concrete saw looks cool.😎
I don’t know why I can’t get your other comment to show up. I am planning on doing another video like you said. There is a lot to chainsaw chains, and that video should help people.
I guess now I have a reason to start using my Rumble app.
I don’t have any videos on yet, but the plan is to put them on both platforms. Then I’m going to see how things go. You probably are not going to want to watch them on both platforms, because it will be the same video.
Does that have the re-designed chute to prevent clogging? Looking to buy the HSS928 this year...thanks
I think it does looking at some information on the internet. I asked my brother if he ever plugged it and he did not yet. They say that re-design was to better deal with the heavy wet snow in the northeast portion of the United States.
Cutting twigs with a 660 what is the point?
Get wrecked, lol
I have a 660 magnum and it is a beast.
Do you have any issues with lack of power during heavy snow pushes?
I don’t have problems with power, I plow in low range. The problem is usually finding enough traction even in four wheel drive. I could put tire chains on, but I do not want to damage the driveway.
@@davesfarmforestvideos8395 I see. Yea, chains I'm sure would do damage. How about back dragging? Can you back drag a bit? Like maybe the first 5 or 6 feet in front of a garage?
The way this one is set up I do not back drag with it. There is a lever on the push frame that goes over center to lock the plow in the up position. If it gets packed full of snow it turns into ice. Then it will not lock in the up position. If you had a winch lift you would not have this problem.
