Cotswolds Vintage and Country Extravaganza 2024
This is a huge rally that takes place on the first weekend of August just outside Cirencester (South Cerney Airfield). There are loads of engines, demonstrations, miniature steam, vintage bus rides round the site, hundreds of classic cars, commercial and army vehicles and a lot more. For this video I focus on the full size steam action but have a quick look round some of the vehicles and other attractions. And, after last years soggyness, it was great to have a dry and often pleasantly and sunny warm show!

Welland Steam Rally 2024

After last years epic trip to the Welland Steam Rally I couldn't wait to get back. This year I went on the 2nd day (Saturday) and got there for morning steam up. I also experience the vintage fun fair, a train ride, timber working, construction and ploughing (including steam ploughs) and plenty of chuffing spectacular action in the Play Pen. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Welland 24!
Woodcote Steam Rally Saturday 13th July 24

My first visit to the Woodcote Rally since Covid. The event has moved back to an old location and somewhat shrunk since my last visit. It still offered a good selection of steam, tractors and other vintage vehicles. Also notable were some dogs enjoying a ride behind a steam engine!

The fourth and final part of my epic coaster trip to America. This time featuring the Texas Parks, Six Flags Over Texas, Schlitterbahn, Sea World San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and ZDT's. Alas the working park railway in this is not real steam but at least it looks nice!

A Sunny visit to a little show just East of Northampton. Whilst the weather was good heavy rain the day and night before had rendered the ground very soggy in many places resulting in static displays only. A couple of full size engines and a nice selection of miniature alongside a large collection of tractors, Classic Vehicles and some shows made for a good start to the season.

I think that Welland is in Worcestershire, England.
That is correct. The tallest hill that can be seen in the background of a lot of the shots is the Worcestershire Beacon - the highest point in the county.
The " new " Great Dorset " ?? Certainly looking that way...thanks for the video..

The show is about 1/3 of the size of GDSF making it possible to do most of the show in a day - I didn't make it in the model tent or the classic cars or see much of what was going on in the ring. There's just too much stuff at Dorset but I do miss the scale of the Heavy Haulage (Play pen) area there.

Awesome show this year, the weather was perfect on Saturday & luckily for me I only live 1 mile up the road.
There were a few showers on Saturday afternoon but overall massively better conditions than last year!

Why is it the last ever event at Sir Bill's Garden Railway?
Lord McAlpine passed away a few years ago and Lady McAlpine does not wish to host anymore... Although she seemed to be greatly enjoying the weekend's experience so don't be surprised if she changes her mind!

I was more interested in Amaranthe beforehand but, whilst they were good, Dragonforce were amazing!
