@@SRE124 yes true it happens a lot. I have been running into pressure system fault on very new whirlpools units. Where they are pumping constantly and it’s not a bad pump or long drain codes. Pretty bad. My record for those is 3 in one week.

@LAapplianceguy yeah, I am not a huge fan of the pressure switch system built into the board, I'd rather have one with a separate pressure switch, but the HE BS won't let me do that

@ oh man me too! I had an older kenmore VM washer with an actual pressure/load size switch and all it needed was suspension rods. The w10780045. And it was in perfect condition. That’s the one I would like to see come back. If not the old Direct drives for sure. But that would never happen they lasted too long.

@LAapplianceguy I had An Amana NTW4650YQ0, before I got the HE Stick in the middle, Amana NTW4519JW2. And my older Amana had a separate Pressure Switch. And I loved that machine. After 11 years, the suspension finally started to give, and inlet valves leaked slightly, but otherwise, the older non-HE machines take the cake, but DD will beat any washer.

​@LAapplianceguy Sadly that's how GE is nowadays, only good machines i remember from GE was the 2013 GE adoras, which were DD units. But were discontinued in late 2016.

@ very true. I haven’t been a fan of GE in a while. I have been liking the LGs but still can’t go wrong with a cheap Amana whirlpool.

@@LAapplianceguy If so many of their belts cause problems, I wonder how close the Whirltag belts would come? Do these belts stretch to serve as clutches, like the real Maytags? If not, is there a substitute made of a better material?

@ the maypools belt dip and start to make noice but they continue to work properly. The ge and hotpoint seem to start throwing codes on slipping belts more often.

I don’t know maybe a little out the bottom? 🤷‍♂️ Once I learned that happiness wasn’t in the bottle or in junk I can buy it was in my head it kinda changed my perspective on things. @@LAapplianceguy There is some truth to making your own good luck. Mostly, it comes from just getting up and doing it. OK, to be fair - my husband and I inherited the farm, my parents gave us our first trailer to live in (nobody ever risked dying of CO overdose in that drafty thing and we were both born with strong backs and good minds.) Still - your attitude is a winner! As to the haters. I don't get it. To be that consumed with jealousy? What a waste of time!

@ yes they do and they are very reliable they seem to last forever with a few repairs

@@davidmurray1670 oh yeah they lasted too long for them. So they changed em up just a little bit. I had a 1987 non frost free freezer from my wife grandfather never quit until the comp started drawing high amps and burning relays. They just worked back then.

I’ll never get rid of my DD kenmore. Best washers ever. Mine has had a knock to it in wash for about 8 years now. But when the transmission dies I’ll just fix it one way or another. Thanks for watching as always 👍
