One coach I'd like to give a mention to (as a turk lmao) is Fabre - EF's previous coaches were either pretty mid (bishop), or outright detrimental to the team (hardstyle, aka the guy who didn't pick up woxic back in space soldiers cause he thought a no AWPer roster would work back in 2016 LMAO). Fabre was a weird pickup as someone who did VALORANT coaching before getting picked up by EF, even if he was pretty successful there. MAJ3R in his Talking Counter episode described Fabre as "someone who knows CS better than all the other Turkish coaches, someone who can make the team play a european style of CS instead of the typical Turkish style of drypeeking everything", and that's important because I think what EF needed was just a little bit of structure. The freeballing style of IGLing that the XANTARES-woxic-imoRR trio went for (when they were changing the IGL like twice a week) just wasn't good, and even MAJ3R alone with his knowledge of French CS couldn't bring enough structure to the team, and Fabre's coaching has made all the difference in that. Fabre is also an excellent cheerleader whenever his team needs it. There's this famous clip of him over in VALORANT back when he was still coaching BBL Esports, the team's star player QutionerX was underperforming in a map, so he took a timeout and literally just did a motivational speech to QutionerX, even starting the timeout with "Quti, I took this timeout for you, just for you." After that timeout, the team went on to dominate the rest of the map with QutionerX being the MVP. There's also a clip of him in Eternal Fire before the Vitality match over at EPL S20, where he goes "I don't want you to win. I want you to fight. If you fight enough, if you show yourselves, I don't give a shit if we win or lose. I just want you to show who we are to Vitality, to apEX, and to the rest of the world". EF went on to win that game, following a triple OT map 3 where XANTARES went 41-24 (iirc) and MAJ3R was outcalling apEX by miles. The only reason Vitality even held on for that long was because of a 1v4 ace clutch by ZywOo, and a 1v3 by Spinx, along with countless 1v2 clutches by the rest of the team. Also, great video! Can't believe you only have 36 subs to be honest, this is some great stuff. Keep it up!
