This song was an activity for my 9-11 year old students, we read and translated the lyrics (we are brazilian) and sang together. This Island Earth has been one of my favorite songs for more than a decade and it was so special to share this beautiful song with them. They loved it and always ask me to put it on while we are in class. I'll never forget looking around my classroom and seeing those smiling faces singing and taking in the message. ❤

Working on making a Playlist. I'm aspiring to be one of the most naturalist and ethical beestewards possible. I was looking up music, especially that in the 432hz range, that might be soothing to the bees. I have a CRAZY theory that with the proper music, one can do it without a bee suit or smoker. I was searching for Cherokee music, as I live in Tennessee, just past the Cherokee NC. My great great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and survived the trail with her mother and part of her tribe. They ended up in Ohio, but would still return to the southern part of North Carolina for vacations and such. Some have called my great grandmother and great-great grandmother "Indian witches" because unnatural abilities. I am A-negative blood type, which ran through my mother's side of the family broke her great great grandmother. Through research I found that RH-negative in native Americans was around 1.6% of the total population and most were shameen, visionaries or healers. My great grandmother and great great grandmother's didn't buy honey. They would sit and sing to the bees until some would land on their hands. Then they would pet the bees and continue to sing their native song to them. Afterwards they would take a piece of honey come from the old stump or log and return without being Sting. Or so the tales and stories go. Things like this. And other marvels of "did that just happen" involving nature and wildlife is why they were called "Indian witches". I've become somewhat of a hippy. I see everything being taught wrong and man fighting and destroying nature continually, because it's profitable to some of the elites who pull all the strings. Beekeeping and agriculture is no different. I see who writes and sponsors the enforcement of the laws by whome they profit. I have to mow tomorrow or face a hefty fine and a lien on the property. And it makes me sad. To me, healthy, thriving, and u poisoned nature, grass, and weeds makes my soul glad. And it makes me sad to have to cut it down. Just the other day an only native treatment for a wasp Sting took the Sting and burn out in seconds, simply by chewing a "weed" (broadleaf plaintain) into a poultice and having my girlfriend hold it on there. I'm a hippy that want to repair nature and see it thrive. And I am a "christian" aka child of God aka of the great creator spirit.

When they sing " it is so, it is so" it's like they are singing Amen, which means "so be it or it is so"! Also maybe it's just me but I was hearing parts of God's divine and holy name Yahowah in the song. Very beautiful song :)

You need more than 3 hit records to make the Rock and Roll HOF. Jan and Dean have had 12 top 40 hits but the HOF won't even consider them. Besides, the R and R HOF lost all credibility when it began inducting rappers.
