52" Unknown Ceiling Fan in polished brass
This is a video of my 52" vintage ceiling fan in polished brass. The make and model are unknown at this time. If anybody knows what this is, please let me know and I'll change the title of this video. Anyway, this fan is 52" inches, 5 blades, 4 bulb light, three speeds, and electrically reversible. I replaced the capacitor and speed control switch in the fan. I also repainted the blades red and black. The blades you see are the original ones. That's a wrap, enjoy the video.

For those of you who saw my last video, I filmed the ceiling fans at the laundromat. At the time, I had a shitty camera. This is a remake of the original video. I just now bought me one to use while i cook to air out my apartment. Awesome speeds for the price
It's currently 1:30 PM On Sunday September 8, 2024 in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas
I think Dallas Fort Worth, Texas has a different time zone from where I live. I hope you found this video helpful.
It didnt wobble
UPDATE: I got lucky to find this fan at Dollar General. Bought one five years ago for my grow tent. It's been running 24/7 the whole time and still works. Bought another one three years ago and same. Got another two years ago and same. Great value and reliability. Easy to remove front grill and clean. As far as quiet, I would say it's on the loud side of the spectrum when on high.
I will give you credit for that. It does get loud on high.
How do u set the time
I'm not exactly sure. As soon as I figure it out I’ll upload a video on it this week.
#INDUSTRIAL
does it still work?
Yes. It still works.
Just bought one in Kansas!
What kind of plug? Two or theee prong?
It has a three-prong plug.
Do you still have this fan?
Yes, I still have it.
Late 60s early 70s
Thanks for the info.
In the early 2000s i had two of these fans one in blue and a black one
No way. Hope they lasted a long time for you.
I have the 2001 to 02 model
Ah okay. I hope you get some good use out of it this summer.
How do you set up the feet that come with the box?
💀💀
Make a 2024 remake
I'll consider it.
Where is it?
Are You getting a new fan
I got a few new fans. I'll release a video tomorrow.
@@deanmccool213 I'm excited
The kind that looked like the Armory. I found a Harbor Breeze catalog from 1998 with the exact same fan in it, same finish too
it says harbor breeze armitage on the box
Fan 574
I’m guessing 1970s era wise.
Thanks for the info. 😀
Thanks for the shout out Jonny. Maybe you should oil it.
I oiled the fan after recording the video.
Where is the reversible switch?
It's located on the switch housing.
I really enjoyed the video I prefer Lakewood I find at a local flea market or thrift store and eBay and Facebook
My aunt and uncle had one but they could never turn it off
This fan blew me away. It sounded so powerful even on low! This fan would make me a leaf in the wind if we were in the same room together. 🌬🍃
You're telling me. It blew me away the first time I turned it on. 😂
that sounds amazing
Thank you. :)
U figure it out yet? Looks like I have the same one
My fan stopped working it would take a while to turn on and after a while it just stopped working any tips on how to fix it ? I already took it apart and cleaned it
If the fan still runs after cleaning it but takes a while to get up to speed, the motor needs cleaned, repaired, and oiled. Hope this helps.
I personally own one with the blue blades and switch I've had it for about 3 years now and it's still as good as the day I got it
Im shocked. I had a few friends that owned these fans and they quit running after short time. You got lucky.
This was super easy to set up and hang up. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxclitHMewQyK8ao1RdWQ7Bt5ZZcLG0bWH Fairly quite considering it’s a fan. The versatility is great for me. It gets really warm in my bathroom and this keeps me cool while I’m getting ready in the mornings. When I need it to blow in a different direction I have no problems moving it around. Highly recommended!
Right on
Jehhsheje
I love it!
I miss seeing the lighting of high pressure sodium street lights. In my city, they replaced all of them with harsh blueish white LED street lights.
I'm definitely buying one
Im happy that my video was helpful for you. Hope your purchase helps.
@@deanmccool213 Thank You I'll buy one tomorrow:)
@@jasontorres3410 good luck
@@deanmccool213 Yeah
vintage? y'all already have every single one replaced with leds?
Most of the traffic lights in my neighborhood were replaced with LED's. This what remains of the old school AKA the good stuff.
I had that fan 2 years ago and died within just 7 months of use April 2021-November 2021. I hate that fan, because it will be seen in vintage fan collectors's nightmares.
I hate this fan to. It is one of my worst nightmares.
@@deanmccool213 Me too, you should stick with that handsome Lakewood you got.
4 Me Fans are best at, Lowe's, Target, The Home Depot, Walmart, etc
@@idkanymore2746 I'm staying with vintage box fans over modern ones any day.
@@idkanymore2746 those were some of the last decent box fans made.
Not a bad…. Decent video. I won’t deny that you showcased the three speed and how quick the blades turned, and I’m going through a personal situation at home myself where I’ve been thinking about getting a fan for the time being that I may also be able to use for future instance, if everyone comes up. But…. Despite showing how good and strong the three speeds are, and what the size is it in comparison to your hand, when you turn it, there was no commentary or description on just how good or cool you feel from either level of power from the fan. I’m not saying, it’s the worst thing that you left out, but keep in mind that when people are looking for fans, no matter the size, width, or height, they want to know to some degree, in some, way, shape or form, that they’re buying a fan that not only gives power to them but the fan makes them cool on a decently positive level, for the reason they’re buying it. But in general, not a bad video. 🙂
Thank you for the feedback. In the future, I'll talk about how each speed feels. Thanks for watching, liking, and commenting.
Can you make both fans shoot out? What about one shooting out and the other shooting in? I've heard this device could do that.
Ill shoot a video showing one on intake one on exaust. be sure to look forward to it.
Why doesn't it have a logo?
I honestly do not know why. I had a friend that had a fan similar to this one. I guess Walmart doesn't put logos on.
Cheap generic fans, Old HV fans were so much cooler than the modern ones.
I came here to see how to setup the feet 😊. I would have liked to have seen that part, but thanks for the demonstration. How do you like the fan’s performance?
To put the feet into the fan, push the feet into the holes on the back of the frame. As for the performance, it was terrible.
@@deanmccool213 Thanks so much for your response.
You're welcome. I'm always happy to help.
What did you do with it?
Coolmaster is trash
Thank you for the review. That fan is LOUD!!!
I know I got this yesterday
@@hazel_mazel378 Is it really loud?
@@micmaliss I agree. The fan is loud. 😂
The blades are not balanced so it's no good it'll burn up the bearings
Yep. That would do it. I tried to balance the blades but they broke so I had to throw it out.
Did you buy another one?
I GET THAT
I prefer them up by my appliances at Walmart or lowe's, home Depot because of the return policies if they burn out within 3 months
I JUST BOUGHT ONE AND IT HAS 3 PINS BUT ONLY 2 PIN HOLES WHERE DO I PUT IT 😂😂😂😩😩😩😩
I guess the 3rd pin would be a spare. I'm not sure. I recommend that you watch a video on how to install one of these fans.
We decide to purchase
price please for purchase
