Jesus is NOT Christ. Christ is the ONLY creation of God, and like God is eternal spirit, and is therefore always with us . Our true God - given nature IS Christ, but we have forgotten this, and taken on a false identity as bodies. So, true religion is all about identity, and nothing to do with having beliefs.

Christianity is almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ teaches. He teaches that there was no original sin, and that God never kicked anyone out of Heaven, and never judges anyone. " God judges no one " John 5 :22. In which case , the crucifixion could not have been some magical sacrifice or atonement for sin. Also the Resurrection was really the Restoration of the mind, back to God " I and the Father are one " He also teaches that it is impossible that a perfect God could create an imperfect world of earthquakes, viruses, predators, disease and death. Such a God would obviously be a sadist and an idiot. God ONLY creates eternal spirit in " His " own likeness. He teaches that this world is actually our own dream of reality. The Old Testament fairytales and superstitious nonsense has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus, and depicts a vicious bloodthirsty made up god figure. A corrupt church has misled gullible folk for centuries.

Very few fully understand the teachings of Jesus Christ, or the purpose of religion. Authentic religion is about knowing the difference between truth and illusion. So here are the teachings of Jesus. " you shall know the Truth, and the truth shall set you free " So, in order to be free of all suffering, and limitation, we need to know what is true, and real. If we don't know what is real, then we must live in a state of ignorance and illusion. The truth concerns our God given nature, as eternal spirit. Jesus himself, awakened to the truth of both his, and our oneness with God. " I and my Father are one " " you will realise that I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you " You could not get a clearer statement of our oneness in God. The only reason we are not aware of this, is because we falsely identify with mortal bodies. Yet God only creates eternal spirit in His own likeness. " it is only the Spirit that gives life; the flesh counts for nothing " " the Kingdom of God is within you " There is no separate God figure up in the sky, looking down on us in judgment. " God judges no one ". It is only us that judge each other, which is why Jesus teaches " judge not , lest you judge yourself in like manner " All these teachings are in the gospels.

And God created earthquakes, viruses, predators , viruses and disease , and saw that it was good. In his infinite mercy, God created bodies to suffer pain, disease and death, and saw that it was good. And he loved his only begotten Son, Jesus, so much , that he wanted him to die an agonising death on a cross. And by some magic, this would free mankind from the terrible sin of Adam eating a fruit from a tree. Only it didn't, as mankind is still sinning. And those that believe this crap, will be rewarded with a spot in a place called heaven, which no scientists have been able to discover. But those who have never heard of Jesus, will be condemned to burn in a place called hell, by this merciful God . I think I would rather believe in Santa Claus.

Its important to know that the judgmental , bloodthirsty god figure depicted in Old Testament fairytales, does not exist. How do we know this ? Because Jesus teaches " God judges no one " John 5 : 22. He teaches a God of perfect love, who only wants to be reunited with us, as the parable of the Prodigal Son clearly explains. Jesus taught the FORGIVENESS of Sin, NOT its reality. The belief in a judgmental God , and the reality of Sin, must lead to guilt and fear. Jesus used the word sin, to mean a mistake , based on the lack of love ( God ). There was no original Sin to be atoned for. Could anyone really believe in some God who held a grudge against His own beloved creation ,for eons ??

  • @kimbirch1202

We are all the " Son of God " because we are the creation of God. The Bible says that God only creates in " His " own likeness, which means the same as. God is not some human like figure hiding out on outer space, in some place called " heaven ". God is infinite, eternal spirit. Life itself. God does not create bodies to suffer pain, disease and death, or He would be a sadist. " it is only the Spirit that gives life; the flesh counts for nothing " John 6 :63.. It is completely insane to identify with a mindless lump of flesh and bone, for many reasons. Jesus wasn't sent from some place called heaven, as he teaches that there is no such place. " the Kingdom of Heaven is within you " Luke 17: 21. He was born like everyone else. Mary wasn't a virgin as she also conceived 3 other sons. Yet, Jesus awakened to his, and our true, God - given nature as the Christ. " you will realise that I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you " John 14 : 20. The realisation of eternal life would be impossible, if it wasn't already the case. This can be realised in our own experience, because " the Kingdom of Heaven is within you " Luke 17 : 21.

  • @kimbirch1202

The only teaching of Jesus, as the awakened Christ Mind, that truly matters, is that, in Truth, we ARE Christ, and cannot be separate from God. " you shall know the Truth; and the truth shall set you free " John 8 : 31 " you will realise that I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you " John 14 : 20 " the Kingdom of God is within you " Luke 17 : 21. To put Jesus on some unreachable pedestal is the worst error any Christian can make.

The gaslighting and pivoting that your channel commits in Why are Christians such hypocrites? | Kevin Croft is just depressing, hurtful & unfortunately incredibly unsurprising. The ridiculous moving the goalposts is crazy, nobody expects Christians to perfect, the point of the question, the prompt of the video, is that people are blown away at the fact that the majority of the church is less Christlike than the rest of society. nobody expects Christians to be perfect. The guy pivots to say “being a Christian doesn’t make us perfect overnight, it does change the way you live” entire point of the question that is the product is that most Christians are not changing their lifestyle to be more CHRISTlike& if anything are less Christlike, less obedient, than the rest of society. The guy claiming to be more like Christ, and claiming to Cam more about what Chris cared about him to live more like him is just astounding of a claim! “We want to” at the end of the video, interesting words, but actions speak louder than words. “Christians are people who say sorry when we mess up” is an interesting claim, to put it kindly.

I really enjoyed this video and heartily agreed with every word… Until, sadly, the final two minutes, where I simply find it impossible to agree with Mr Tice's teaching. After having betrayed Jesus, Peter was no longer included as a disciple. That's why the angel said: "Go, tell his disciples AND Peter", indicating that Peter was not among their number at that point. We know that Peter repented, and was ultimately restored and forgiven on the beach of Tiberias (John 21). But forgiveness is not automatically imputed for any transgression, as the Bible says: 2 Tim 2:12 "If we deny Him, He also will deny us." Mr Tice claims: "If Peter would only trust Jesus, then all of his sin, every denial, every failure to love God as he should, would be fully and finally forgiven." But Jesus never once preached that men only need to "trust" Him. He preached that all men must REPENT, turn from their sin, and KEEP in Jesus' teachings. If a man doesn't do this, he cannot claim to truly "trust" Jesus in the first place. For the Bible says: 2 John 9 "Whoever transgresses and DOES NOT abide in the doctrine of Christ DOES NOT have God." Hebrews 10:26 "For if we WILLFULLY SIN after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there NO LONGER REMAINS a sacrifice for sins, only a certain fearful expectation of judgment." Mr Tice speaks of a Christian friend who died, saying: "Stuart knew he was a sinner, just like Peter, just like you and me". That is sad to hear. But as a disciple of Jesus, I truly trust Him, meaning that I have believed and FOLLOWED His commands, turning from ALL sin, remembering the Lord's solemn warnings: Matt 5:30 "If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." John 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned." Matthew 7:26 "Everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

Major commentaries disagree with you about Peter. They point out that the distinction between disciples and Peter in Mark 16:7 *is* a word of grace and inclusion of Peter: NICNT: "Peter is singled out because of his repeated and emphatic denial of Jesus (Ch. 14:66-72). He has not been mentioned by Mark since that shameful occasion, and his disloyalty might well be regarded as an extreme example of sin and blasphemy which disqualified him from participating in Jesus’ triumph. Yet he had been forgiven (cf. Ch. 3:28). The summons to Galilee provided the assurance that Peter had not been rejected by the risen Lord." Pillar: "The flight of the disciples, even Peter’s pitiful denial, have not been the last word. It is not given to human beings to speak the last word. The last word belongs to the risen Lord... The announcement of the angel is not one of deserved blame but a promise of gathering and going before them! God completes his plans for the church despite human failure. If the word of grace from the resurrected Lord includes a traitor like Peter, readers of the Gospel may be assured that it includes those of their community who have also failed Christ." You're trying to distinguish between trust and 'true trust,' so you're clearly concerned that people appreciate the gospel as a message of not simply of mentally assenting to Jesus only to carry on unchanged, but of trusting him as evinced by living his way, but I think you're pressing a bit hard on Rico, for Jesus does want people to simply trust him, though he is clear that this is more than bare mental assent. John 6:29, the work of God is to believe is to believe in the one whom he sent; John 6:35 coming to and believing in Jesus is to not hunger and not thirst; 6:40 whoever looks on the Son and believes has eternal life 6:54 whoever feeds on the Son has eternal life. etc. All of this is expounding the claim of 1:12, whoever receive him have the right to be called children of God. To be sure, a major theme in John's gospel is exploring the nature of true v false belief, which is about abiding in Jesus's word, so it's not just bare mental assent as you're trying to show. But Jesus is happy to call people to simply receive him, or believe in him. Moreover, it's curious that John 21 (in fact the whole of John) never mentions the word 'repent,' 'repentance,' or even 'turn' (except John 21:20). I agree with you that repentance is an essential concept in both John the Baptist's and Jesus' gospel (Mark 1:14-15), however it's very curious (and wonderfully freeing) that Jesus simply invites Peter to express his love for him three times in response to his three-fold denial followed by the call to follow him (at that point I would say this is a call to obedience). God bless.

PRAISE GOD, He opened my eyes to the warnings of the Bible - that all humans WILL be judged and for everything we've done wrong. Our only hope is God's Son, Jesus, through whom we can be made right with God and receive eternal life. I agree with this video on that most critical issue! Though with the greatest of respect, I believe there are also some faults in the teaching of this video. In case anyone is interested, I'd like to share some views on four of the issues raised in this video… *1. "Punished for our thoughts"?* Firstly, Mr Tice teaches that humans will be punished for bad THOUGHTS. It is certainly true that sin ORIGINATES from sinful hearts and thoughts (something which the Lord Jesus is able to cure us of, when we're regenerated by His Spirit). But does the Bible ever say that the world will be judged for their thoughts? No, it always speaks about judgement for WORKS: Rev 20:12 "And the dead were judged according to their WORKS" 2 Cor 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things DONE in the body, according to what he has DONE, whether good or bad." *2. "Punished for failing to love God"?* Mr Tice also teaches the idea that "failing to love God" is a sin! But "failing to love God" is simply a missed opportunity. SIN means wrongdoing - evil - immorality. "Failing to love God" is no crime and no one will be punished for it. God only punishes evil, He doesn't punish people just for not being believers! Loving God is indeed the greatest commandment, but not all commandments concern sin. The Sabbath commandment, for example, is not about sin, but about good mental and physical health! :-) *3. "Eternal torment"?* The idea Mr Tice presents here that everyone is "the ultimate sinner" builds to the conclusion that God will repay all humans with the worst fate imaginable - 'eternal torment'. But there really is nothing about that in the Bible. The Lake of Fire is an "eternal fire" because it was created for Heavenly individuals like the Devil, the Beast, and the False Prophet, who (we presume) are immortal beings. So they will live forever in the Fire (Rev 20:10). However, there is no reference in the Bible to mortal humans "going to live" in the Fire forever. Jesus says they will be "thrown" into the fire and will "perish", and this is the "second death". If anyone believes that the proper punishment for human sins is an eternity of punishment, then surely in order to take that penalty for us, Jesus would have to be punished for all eternity? But the Bible says that Jesus paid the price for our sins in full - IN ONE DAY! *4. "Religion is bad"?* Finally, Mr Tice also seems to have a very negative view of devout religious Jews (or Christians) who aspire to live by God's commands. Sure, the Bible gives us many religious hypocrites who persecuted Jesus, but there are also many examples of lovely, devout men who feared God and were loved by God. Simeon, for example, whom God called "just and devout" (Luke 2:25), or Joseph of Arimathea, a Jew whom God called "a good and just man" (Luke 23:50). Their Jewish religion obviously did them a lot of good. Of course, we now know that the Old Covenant Law was not God's ULTIMATE SOLUTION to the problem of sin. But the Law was still a very GOOD thing! It gives the world an example of how to live righteously. And even though no carnal man was able to fully keep the Law, its commands still give us good and right social values to aspire to. Everything written in the Law is true and good, from the lips of God. So I find it strange when Christians like Mr Tice speak so disparagingly of the Biblical religion. Almost regarding it as worthless or irrelevant. Paul said that the Law is good (1 Tim 1:8). And Jesus said He did not come to do away with the Law - but that anyone who breaks the commands of the Law is in trouble, while those who teach and observe it will be blessed (Matthew 5:17). Jesus plainly said: "If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:17). Thanks to the New Covenant, we are able to fully keep all His commandments, being filled with the Holy Spirit, no longer having sin dwell in our hearts, but becoming good, godly people (Acts 11:24). :-) This is the good news! Not "avoiding eternal torment", but being BORN AGAIN and having our hearts transformed into something new and good! :-)

Overall, an excellent presentation. The Lord Jesus did indeed take the punishment for sin on the cross that we might be forgiven! Though if you will forgive me for saying (and allow me to share my views) there were a couple of things quickly mentioned in this video that I don't agree with. My humble thoughts below, in case anyone finds them helpful… *1. Misrepresentation of Pontius Pilate* First, he brands Pontius Pilate as a "cowardly crowd-pleaser" who "lost his nerve". That's a horrible mis-representation of Pilate, who was a hero! Unlike the Jews, Pilate found no fault in Jesus at all and was completely sympathetic to him. Pilate did everything he could to let Jesus go, but Jesus' own people were kicking up a storm, insisting that he be crucified. Pilate gave the Jews every chance to let Jesus go, but eventually gave them what they demanded, not because of 'cowardice' but because Jesus was their citizen under their authority. Pilate publically washed his hands in front of them, declaring that Jesus crucifixion was unlawful and it was on THEIR heads, not his (Matt 27:24). So Pilate did nothing wrong at all. *2. Misrepresentation of Christians* Mr Tice also presents Christians in a very negative and carnal light, suggesting we're little more than self-righteous hypocrites like the Pharisees who crucified Jesus! When talking about sinful humans, Mr Tice includes HIMSELF, and says that we only "consider ourselves" righteous and moral. What a bleak view of Christianity! The Christian faith I know is all about being born again, being DELIVERED from evil, TRANSFORMED into a new man, turning from sin and being made clean, righteous and pure like God. There should be NO trace of sin in the church - and anyone found sinning should be expelled, as God commanded through Paul (1 Cor 5:11).

Philo, the ancient Jewish scholar from Alexandria, described Pilate: “His corruption, his acts of insolence, his rapine, his habit of insulting people, his cruelty, his continual murders of people untried and uncondemned, and his never-ending gratuitous and most grievous inhumanity. Yes, Jesus seems to have profoundly affected him and he was also affected by his wife's s dreams and saw though the words of the religious leaders. But in the end he preferred his friendship with Herod, and annd afraid of a possible uprising gave in to the mob. Washing his hands and declaring himself innocent, does not make him innocent and certainly not a hero.
