You know, speaking as a comic, in all seriousness…

At the very end of the song just before the recording cuts away, if you listen very closely with the speaker up to your ear, Jerry can be heard yelling, "I don't care what you--", then it stops. Jerry must have realized that the recording was about to end, and maybe he was having a bad day, so he made an outburst. It makes you wonder what the music business put him through. Maybe it wasn't all a joy. He was singing his heart out in the song, but his heart wasn't there towards the end, like anyone who puts on an act that fakes their smile, forced to entertain people or legal contract is broken otherwise unless they want to keep their job, and maybe it could just be for money when you get exhausted with what you're doing. Jerry was a delight seen in presentation, but behind all of it, I'm sure he had his disappointments and felt truly unhappy. What's even sadder is that I love all of Jerry's music that he sung throughout his entire career, and the beautiful stories behind all of the love songs he sung was like his own world of love and togetherness that was too good to be true and never existed. When you sing your heart out, it takes truth to mean something, but if the rest of the world really isn't that kind to you, then it's as if you were crying a love song out of disillusion and longing in vain for the love you feel reluctant to know you'll never have, and that must be exactly what Jerry was feeling.

First heard this song sung by Mr. Como but never it was a cover originally done by Barry Manilow. There is a verse that is sung by B.M. that Mr. Como does not sing.

I saw Bobby at a Polish Fair in Feeding Hills,Ma. in the mid '70s.Super talented...a master of just about every musical instrument.He sung all his beautiful ballads.Polish Pride and Power were abundant that day...a real opposite reality from the mass media portrayal of Polish Americans at the time.
