It’s a new recipe I saw, cranberry sweet tea concentrate. I can’t wait to try it in a couple weeks. I think I accidentally added double the sugar it’s going to be really concentrated 😅 The pink oysters are so cute, I’m hoping they stay that pink when cooked!

@@Thecontentcottage Yes omg I hope they stay pink when cooked too! That would be so cool. The good thing about super concentrated sweet tea is that it's easy to dilute~

Once you get into the routine I feel like canning is very repetitive and not as hard as it can appear to beginners! I find the electric canner to be easier, less babysitting

It’s great protein and calcium for them plus reduces some feed cost for me! I do want to water glass eggs at some point but right now I get 20- 25 eggs daily regardless of the season, so there’s no need to preserve them. The good part about keeping them indoors is they don’t really take a break in winter. I’ve even got a few overachievers who lay 2 eggs a day!

The dust and smell can definitely be a problem when keeping them inside! I found switching the substrate to sand definitely helped the smell. Luckily the dust is mostly contained to that room so doesn’t bother me too much. I can’t wait until I can move and have outdoor space for them though.I think they would like to be out in the garden and eating fresh plants and bugs
