Don Quixote Variation VIII, horns only SD 480p
Variation VIII from Strauss' Don Quixote is often found on low horn auditions, but these passages are difficult to hear in recordings due to the thick orchestral layering. This video showcases the horns alone, in order to display how each voice layers on top of the others to create the image of rolling waves.

next time you multitrack, move the microphone between each horn part. That way you'll get a bit better of an ensemble sound instead of that telltale multitrack recording sound.

Awesome! How did you balance tuning across separate recordings?
I recorded in 1 to 8 measure sections at a time. I started with the lead voice, and then recorded each individual voice under it, rerecording until it was in tune and in time.
