Thank you. I got this book for Christmas and I am so new😂 I first did the giraffe and didn't realize about the he color changes. LOL but it was still cute. I love to get to choose. I had only done a turtle before that and off a video. So if I can do it, she made it easy😂 but it was a bit confusing with color changes until you understand that part. I will be using tabs next one I do. I have used different parts to do a bear now as well. It's really a good book but read through the pattern first then make notes of color changes so when you're on the body page you'll remember to change colors.

Great bag & cute bears! Congrats on all you've achieved! This year we're leaving our Christmas tree up & so I've already decorated it for Valentine's Day which is something I've never done before! I LOVE it! The pretty pink, red & white lights are gorgeous each night & make me smile, especially the pink flower lights! I've diamond painted 10 double sided hearts & I'm on the last set of 5 diamond painted hearts for it. I even bought a Valentine's Day door sign. I'm not making anything much for Valentine's Day, but I crocheted tiny heart bagtags/keyrings that are in my Etsy store. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

Great review Crystal! I still don't crochet amis or use chenille or plushie yarns. I continue to use fingering weight or DK yarns the most. I'm currently crocheting a tiny preemie blanket using an Aussie 4ply (fingering) yarn. It's for a charity so I'll be posting out about 5 preemie blankets in a couple of weeks. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

Hi Crystal, that book has so many cute things to make. This book will have to go on my wish list, even if it's not on sale. Crochet along sounds fun. I hope my library has that book. I use to like Parfait Chunky but lately every time I get that yarn it really falls apart, I can't even crochet with it. I kind of like the Big Twist Posh even though it's a #5.

I ordered the book just now, simply based on your review and the fact that Theresa’s Crochet Shop is the author. I love her patterns and have bought many from her Etsy shop. I like your Cheer bear. She looks really close to accurate. I've not seen the smaller bears before. I have the original Leisure Arts book (with the typo) but you can get their pattern for free on the Leisure Arts website. I know a LOT of people.are selling the patterns on Etsy. And it kind of frustraits me that so many people benefit from copying and pasting a pattern, but Leisure Arts said they didn't really mind since the pattern is retired anyway. Its really hard (for me) to work with that bulky yarn. But you made your bears look great! Tenderhearted was kind of like the leader of the bears but to be honest I never knew anyone that really had him as a favorite. Cheer bear, Funshine, and Grumpy were always everyone's favorite and I think every Irish kid loved Goodluck bear 😂 Wishbear was like the favorite of all the parents because she was like an old lady. But I think more recent versions of the cartoon made her more childlike.

Your bag looks great, I think if you made several you would sell them, us crocheters love project bags. I love the Care Bears, they are adorable and the Valentine gnomes are so cute too. The doll outfit is pretty, maybe just go up a hook size and see if that helps the clothes fit better. 🧶💜🙏🏻

So lovely to see you & hear you chatting about your yarn room & your creations! Our Christmas tree is still up too. This year I've decided I'm leaving it up until after Mother's Day which is always the 2nd Sunday in May for Aussies. Normally it's only up for about 3 weeks as we don't put it up until well after my birthday at the beginning of December. So, this year it's already been my grandson's gaming birthday tree for his 9th birthday a week ago when we had him here to celebrate. I'm only just recovering now but worth it! Next it will be a Valentine's tree, then a St Patrick's Day tree, then an Easter tree & finally a Mother's Day tree & then we'll put it down.... & it will go up before my birthday at the end of the year as a birthday tree before changing out to the Christmas tree!!! So, it will be up for 6 months & is really fun for me with pretty lights that are changing colour with each celebration! I'm having a ball planning it all as this year I want to have more fun! Loved seeing everything you've been making! I absolutely love the bag you made for me & feel very blessed having it! I hope & pray you find a better Dr to help you soon.
