Thanks ✌
Thank you so much! I just have one question: Is it possible to use this method when I have a mesh with two texture sets and want to transfer the textures to a mesh with the same UVs but with only one texture set? (I reorganized UV)
Using Substance Designer I don't know if it's actually possible. In Blender I know it is, I actually have to make a video explaining how to make it there. If you'd like some more help on that you can join our discord server! The link is in the video description.
Amazing, I will! Thanks :) I can’t wait for your other videos; you are really good at explaining
Friend, are you there? I want to talk to you about an offer
Hello there! Yep I'm here, you can also find me on Instagram or our discord server, the links are in the video description!
really thankyou!!
Hello there. Lets say that I would like to transfer a texture to a new UV Layout with changed UV shells (they have been rectified with TexTools and new seems have been added). Will this method also work in such circumstances or is it only good for UV Layouts with same-shaped shells? Maybe you have already tried this out? Thank you for your answer in advance.
Heyo! As long as the mesh itself don't change the shape it should work normally
where did u get the images from? i know this comment is late so if u see this and dont want to respond i understand
Hello there! The reference images were given to us by the client and the last two images were rendered on Blender. That's where we added the rig.
Not knowing this is a pain, thanks
Really easy to follow. Great tutorial for a beginner. Thanks! Liked and subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
Really good tutorial for a beginner, thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Is it possible to use this process to merge 2 texture maps into 2? I have a mesh composed of multiple UV sets and I want to simplify it to use 1 or 2.
I'm not really sure if it's possible using substance designer, but I'm pretty sure you can do that using Blender
4:02 I can't see the 'screencast key' in the toolbars. How can i bring it?
Heyo! To rig you don't need to use the screencast extension, but if you'd like to install it you just need to go to edit -> preferences -> extensions then look for screencast and press the install button. This will only work on Blender 4.2+ though
I wish this model was for sale. It's so good. You should make more anatomically accurate dinosaurs. You're good at this and some models are still rare if one is looking for accurate ones.
We're really happy like it! This one was a custom made model for a mod for Path of Titans
@@TelergyStudio have you considered making other models?
Yep, we actually take requests like this one every now and then
@@TelergyStudio could I request an edmontosaurus (annectens) from you guys or would it have to be a comission?
It would have to be a commission, we can talk more about it through discord if you'd like. There's a link to our server on the descriptions if you're interested!
this is a great video, I am learning blender recently, so Can I know the method in blender ? thanks .
Yes, sure! I'll upload it in a couple days
this is awesome!
You saved my life!
Thank you, this video saved me! :D
Glad it helped!
Didn't work at all. In fact, the animation has become even worse after this. Maybe that's because I was scaling a gun, not a character.
This method works with any scaled armature. If the scale is applied to an armature the F-curves will not be scaled along with it, that's why we have to fix them by scaling by the same amount we scaled the armature. There are a couple things though, just scale the location F-curves and check if you have any location based constraints and/or drivers (stretch to, limit location, shrink wrap, etc), you'll have to reset those manually.
@@TelergyStudio I don't have any constraints or drivers.
So much thank you for making this tutorial, it's amazing, easy, fast, and simple!!!! After 2 days breaking my mind trying to solve this issue with 3 customized rigged creatures (with rigify controllers). I had all animations done in NLA tracks, ready to export and import into Unreal. But then I had to change the scale of all of them and I was becoming crazy about it after applying transforms. I made exactly what you did, but with the controllers instead of the bones. Now everything is perfect, even in Unreal. Again thank you so much^^
I'm pretty happy it helped you!
Superb work!
I cant wait for the game
Stunning!!
Nice :)
amazing, It's very complicated, I don't see how anyone can figure it out
Thanks! It's a bit time consuming to set it up but not as complicated as it seems
Handsome
thanks bro <3
You're welcome!
This is great, thank you! However, do you know if there is a way to transfer the controls into Unreal Engine 5.4 so that we don't have to completely reconfigure the manual controls?
Unfortunately I don't of any ways to do that. I'd really like to have something like this too though!
I dont really understand if you pick first the new version of the model or the original one. Thats sad because it is a nice tutorial, you should be more clear specifying, and being clearer with naming. Thanks for your tutorial anyway :)
Since we are using a modifier, you'll always pick the old one first and set the target to the new one. It's a bit confusing but when you get it you'll never forget
Awesome! Green is depth. Worked perfect for my project. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thanks man you saved me some time
Glad I could help!
This nearly works for me, but i seem to be having a problem relating to the drivers / controller bones controlling certain bones in my armature. Any clues on fixing that?
If you have stretch bones on your armature you will have to reset their original length in the constraints manually. As for drivers, you should be able to perform the same steps you did in the graph editor but this time in the driver graph. That should fix most if not all of the problems (Only do that in the drivers that use bone location though)
Nice - just what I need <3
You defenitely dont have enough likes for this video. Thank you!
Which blender version ?
Blender 4.1 and later should be fine
didn't work
If the order or amount of vertices is different it unfortunatelly doesn't work. That could be your case
Thanks for the help!
what are those colored outlines that were in blender? im just starting to learn how to model and aimate and would love to know what's that called so i can search information on it
Those are bones with custom colour and also custom shapes. If you'd like to, you can also join our discord server and ask for help there as well. Now every time we are working on our models we open a live for the members there
Amazing job, its beautiful!
Thanks
how would u tackle a necklace rigging? im having problems with the last bone of the chain when using wiggle Bone 2 i tried to create a small bone attach the original with keep offset to the small bone and constrain the small bone with the first bone of the chain but once i run the simulation it behaves weird.
One quick fix when these weird behaviours come out using wiggle bones 2 is to crank up the simulation quality. That helps me most of the times
@@TelergyStudio do u know if constraints work properly with wiggle bone simulation? i cant seem to find answers to this problem. Is driving me insane. I asked in reddit and in CGDive discord and no one can give me a properly explanation the only thing i found out in the gitHub is that wiggle bone behaves weird with constraints.
Thanks
Trying to export an Auto Rig Pro rig with that and when it get into Unreal it's somewhat broken. Like some bone are missing weight painting, mainly the forearm and some others. I'm not trying to export any animation. Just a basic rig + mesh that I can control in Unreal.
Since I don't own the Auto Rig Pro addon I don't know exactly how to export it to UE5, but I found some people having issues with that as well, it might be what you need: forums.unrealengine.com/t/in-desperate-need-of-help-getting-auto-rig-pro-to-export-characters-over-properly-please/1543155/3
@@TelergyStudio Sadly, in my search to fix it, I already stumbled upon that and it unfortunately did not help me :/
Auto riggers (Rigify included) in Blender all have this kind of problem, they were mainly developed for animations inside of Blender. So exporting them to game engines is always a pain, mainly because of non-even scalling and the use of B-Bones.
Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
really.. this is a default behavior in any other software
Wouldn't you have to select all the bones that you want to rotate in other softwares?
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Is this blender?
Nope, this is ZBrush!
@@TelergyStudio okay thanks
This makes so much more sense than a larger video I found. Good work being clear and concise.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video! :D
Gostei do trabalho, muito bom, parabéns.
A very good and useful tutorial, thank you!
This only works if the vertexes have the same order. It'd be better to make the UVs first and then duplicate the object and would give you a certain freedom to modify the 2nd one without messing your UVs too much. Nice video, useless tool!
It would be nice if blender could make it work even with the vertices in a different order...
