It was so nice to share these pictures. How are Your dad taking it? How are You? I wish I could be there for You, listen to what You might have to say, or being quiet beside You. You can pretend I sit there and listen You, hug You now and then and shop with You. Walk by Your side and be You friend. You have a lot of friends around You, don’t hesitate to reach out for help!

If you want to avoid double thickness patches just separate the strands and only double up half the strands. You will have to weave in the unused half strands later but if you’re only making a few joins then it’s not too much trouble. ( obviously not so practical for these scrappy socks)

No words really help, but it seems like your mother packed a lot of life in her too short time here and that she was very much loved. You also did all that you could to support her and enjoy those precious moments with her and your family through her illness. It probably doesn't seem like it now, but it can be a gift to be with a loved one at the end; at least I felt that it was for me when my dad died. Please take care of yourself and give yourself time to knit and grieve.

Thank you for this. It’s great! It makes the bind off nice and stretchy and is easy to do. My only issue is that I’m finding it makes the edge/end a bit wider than the rest of the ribbing - am I doing something wrong, or do you know if there’s a way to stop this? Thanks in advance.
