Sweet child of mine was the first song I learned how to play on the guitar. I learned how to play on a beautiful six string electric. Acoustical guitars have their place in music just not with me. I have one but I never use it. And when you learn on an electrical guitar when you pick up an acoustical it's so much different. Anyway.. it's nice to see Slash still has what he originally had he's damn talented. Axel.. I think his vocals are shit these days absolutely shit. It's nice to see he's actually showing up at the shows. He had a bad habit during the first five albums of not coming out on stage. I've lived in New Hampshire all my life and as a fan of just about everything that came out in the '80s and the 90s.. we would drive across the country if we had to just to see our favorite bands perform for a few hours and then drive all the way back. We drove twice literally halfway across the damn country from New Hampshire to see guns and roses. Once in 1991 and then again I believe it was in 1994 maybe 93. The first time The band came out but Axel didn't we watched the band perform random shit for about an hour and then they dipped out. The second time nobody came on the stage. The opening bands they came out they did their thing but no guns and roses at all. Do you know how devastating that is to an 11 12 13 year old boy? That pissed me off. I lost a lot of respect for that man. I don't debate that he used to be very talented as a vocalist. Nobody sounds like him and I don't believe anybody ever will. Just like Layne Staley. Nobody sounds like him and nobody ever will. But at least Blaine performed at his shows as fucked up as he was. We saw Alice in chains a lot back in the day. Personally I believe anything after the spaghetti incident isn't guns and roses it's just axle with a different band. The only song that I like that axel had a pardon after the spaghetti incident album is the song called better and I believe that's on the Chinese democracy album. I don't know I never bought the album and I wouldn't. But I think that's a good song. I was embarrassed for the man when I realized and heard that he was finishing a tour as the vocalist for AC/DC a few years back. Nothing like crashing an excellent band with a shitty vocalist. And opinions vary everyone's entitled to their opinion some people think axle sounds is good now as he ever did. I disagree. Again I'll give him credit he shows up he tries he still got the passion for it. But I think he has forgotten that he's in his sixties. Overweight and I'm certain with all the drugs and the booze he's done quite a bit of damage to himself over the years. Whenever I hear guns n' roses.. I often wonder where they would have gone had they remain together and continue to produce music. The original guns and roses not the bullshit that came out after the fifth album.

I was lucky enough to see these guys in the 80s. Axl now is a sad shadow of what he once was. They should have just hung it up and gone out while at the top of their game IMHO

Slash still has it! Axl just needs to get into shape and I think he’d sound great. He’s out of breath most of the time.

That was pretty good - Axl's trying hard to get his voice up to the original octave. Slash looks the same, plays the same (but has the Zack Wylde biker arms now.)
