Singing lessons: nodes and “vocal rasp”
Mix is more resonance & girls usually does it becayse it doesnt really change how the ears perceive the pitch. For male however it would almost break the voice & can go out of tyne unless the pitch is really high. Below the G4 (i think) males will always belt the notes naturally.
Amazing advice, thank you so much! This and you other videos have been of so much help. Thank you for sharing with the world your insights!
This is the BEST 30 min of warm-ups I have ever done! THANKS!
Fr 🧡
🙏🙏😍😍👏👏
How much are the group singing lessons?

I wish this video was there 20 yrs back. Very clear explanation on how registers work.
Wow 👌 I wish I was told this earlier. I just thought I was failing.
So good thank you
only problem is my voice breaks into falsetto ....im willing to do this to build it!

Do u offer lessons ??
Thank you. You explained belting the easiest. And you are so beautiful ❤
love it! 💓
Thanks.
loved everything about this video but what I loved more was the fact that at the end you said that it takes about 2-3 years to build a strong mixed voice 🥲I really needed some reassurance on that! helps me stay motivated to keep pushing and building it instead of thinking that I'm not making progress :) thanks so much for sharing
My yawns are gonna be different from now on
Very nice teaching👌😊❤️
The best explanation ever. Technical but illustrative and simple to understand
You so cool n beautifulll ...
❤ cool this lesson
A video please 🙏, showing how to open the ribs🙂
❤❤❤❤
This.... Worked?? Instantly??? What the hay
I've got my mix down, but I don't know how to add chest in to make it weightier! Do you have any practical tips to move from mix to that belt sound?
A few steps I used: 1. Start with mixed placement 2. Cry into the sound th-cam.com/video/lBi46WhMr5M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zHDuW_NY2wkQiLgH 3. Tongue down th-cam.com/video/3bVSmgoX0jE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WvOu9uX_GhkwssRM 4. Tilt the pharnyx th-cam.com/video/AiBbbYMI8K8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=V-aYZFRGtc8BpeAB th-cam.com/video/GOVhVOKQbNg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aXH0Oa1JqXX5Os1y *Note: Start always using vibrato. Work up to starting straight tone into vibrato. Helps keep muscles relaxed and prevents damage.
You have helped me the most out of all the singing TH-camrs out there. Literally just mocking the nasally sounds you make has helped me understand way more than other people’s explanations. Your stuff is so gold!!
I have a question: if I’ve been producing a sound from my throat (speaking and singing) my whole life, will a proper “placement” feel like like it’s in a lot smaller of a space?
This helped me so much and feels soooo good. I don’t feel anything in my throat when I do this so I know I’m doing it right! Now I just need to try to feel this when singing bel canto
How do I keep that light and easy feeling when singing normally tho haha?
this is incredibly helpful, thanks
Me encantó este calentamiento. Thanks!!!
Is there a full version? Sorry, he mentioned in the video. I’m in the shower lol I very much want training onthis song.
toilet, except eyes. dump her- no exceptions.
Claire started doing disinformation for the communists. I love Dove very much, but i will make no exceptions. All reds down the toilet. keep her eyes for my collection.
Omg someone finally clearly explained this. THANK YOU
You most most beautiful ❤❤
So I should basically just fart while I sing to sing high notes. What do I do when the band passes out behind me?
Please don’t hurt me
FINALLLY SOMEONEEE SAID IT!!!? THANK YOUU!❤
Would love to learn this technique as I'm having the same issue. Is it a case of bringing in more nasal resonance or just more forward resonance? What are the mechanics behind making this change? Thanks!
4:18
Very useful part of extending breathing control and capacity thank you. For me singing is discovering how alienated i became from my body. The yawn yell technique is also fantastic and thanks for that tip also
Just discovered you and you are great at what you do! Can you teach rock vocal belts like Chris Cornell, with a more of an open sound on the high notes. If so, do you recommend any of your videos on this subject of how you teach rock vocal belts in comparison to the way musical theater singers belt? Thank you!
had ari in mind when looking for this vid lol 😂
Still don’t get it😶
I guess she means you need to start with mix first rather than pull up chest. When you have the mix down you can learn to get a more Chestier mix. From light mix to chest-mix..? You should never turn off the mix.. The chest ratio is the difference from what I understood. My next question would be what is the difference between belting and a Chestier mix, if any? Maybe placement of resonance?
sorry for my english... I recomend you to read something about Estill Voice. Belting is for the cricoid cartilage activated, body cover "thick" and torso anchor (please don't squeeze your belly)
People use all this confusing terminology. Mixing is just using narrower vowels. “Belting” is just crying to tilt the larynx and grounding your vowels in an “uh” sound. Mixing: “Let theh stooorm ray-j aaahn” Belting: “Lut thuh stohm ruhh-aj uuuhn”
🙂
I don’t know why my mixed is so much lighter and softer than my belt. The moment I start to belt it comes out so explosively (i scared some people practicing 2 days ago, and had to stay away from my mic)
@TammieParker2515 currently its just a hobby but i plan on going professional after university. I dont think its a problem of confidence cuz ive got a bit too much of that. But ive never actually taken lessons and all the guides ive ever watched havent rly helped
nice video, why is hard to keep the sound in the mask? after a while it drops in the throat..
this video should have milions views, well explained thanks
ill have to give it a go in my car xD appreciate the video I think this will help me not strain so much
Mix voice doesn’t need vocal cord closure? I heard people talking about mix voice is a vocal cord closure
