My current trick is ordering an (real, not a toy) accordion for kids first, even when you are not a kid - smaller, easier to play and way cheaper!

Accordion is a problem. 1st mechanically and 2nd the tuning. My best advice is to find a store or a repair service and make an order there in your desired price range. They will come up with offers with tuned and functional accordions. I do play accordions since 60 years.
