This is such a wonderful question. Every sound healer’s sessions will differ naturally from one another, even if the same exact instruments are used. That is because there are different ways that the sound is moving energy. The first is the quality of sound and the way the instruments are played. Sound healing instruments such as bowls and chimes are all naturally beautiful to listen to, though playing them requires a love and knowledge of how to let them sing without overplaying and how to coax their greatest essence. The second way is through the energy that the healer is projecting in their sessions. The state of harmony and peace existing within the practitioner transfers into the sound and infuses the session with that same harmony and relaxation. This is by a process called entrainment. When the practitioner embodies a pure and whole state of being and channels that through their music, there is a different quality of sound healing in the session that is produced. I cannot speak to other practitioners. There are many fantastic sound healers. Personally, I am a certified sound healer as well as a reiki master and have received many years of training, all of which adds to the quality of my sessions.
