I feel bad for both of them really. Neither of them show it much, but I'm sure both of them miss being a family and that both of them feel bad to a certain extent. I feel like Diluc is the one that doesn't want to admit how much he cares for Kaeya (even though he kept the vase that didn't match with the interior, also he reads Kaeya's letters), and he might be conflicted with his feelings because he may think that Kaeya betrayed them that day, or he thinks that he's gone too far and can't fix things While Kaeya is pretty obviously depressed and feels guilty about everything that's happened, he's the one out of the two that's actually trying to mend their relationship, but I can see him feeling like he's failing, seeing Diluc's reactions to all his attempts Their miscommunication and uncertainity, also fear and guilt is the thing that's keeping them apart 🥺

you know, with how everyone believes kaeya is gonna die, i feel like mihoyo will kill diluc for it...a very real intuitive feeling...and it'd hit harder coz no one expected it.

Their father wouldn't like it to be like this. And those blockheads are just in this because they refuse to talk to each other with an open mind. THEY NEED FAMILY THERAPY!!! They need each other. I would love if they get together as brothers again when the story ends.
