Our plan was to avoid winter for many years to come. We decided to split our time between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. We recycled, or put into storage, our winter clothes, left our apartment in central Auckland, New Zealand and adopted an itinerant lifestyle. We planned to travel around Europe and spend the southern spring/summers based in New Zealand. We’re not wealthy, so we decided to avoid having to pay rent by mixing housesitting with living in a van. We also still need to work and we thought that earning enough would be the biggest challenge. We didn’t know of course that there would be a much bigger challenge - Covid19. The borders closed and we were grounded in NZ for a year. Because we don’t think there’s much chance in the near future of being able to get back to the two hemispheres lifestyle we’ve moved to Australia so that we can spend some time exploring. Enjoy

Christmas Day 2021 in Victoria’s Spa Country
Lucky enough to retire here permanently from Canada. We are 20 mins from Kardamyli in a mountain village.
Doesn't matter what the angle is, the Stoupa sunsets are spectacular!
Thanks for posting this video, i have been visiting the fantastic Peloponnese for the last 20 years. Its the most beautiful and historical part of Greece in my humble opinion. Stoupa, kardamili, Agios Nicolios and many other villages , towns in the Mani are worth visiting .
It's pronounced EEL-Den
Nice 💕💕💕💕💕
Great effort 😳 very impressed 🎉🚵♀️🍾
Nice work and thanks for sharing your ride! Bet that hot cross bun tasted good! PS- the Kooroora pub in the village is cranking out some good coffee, so is the Village Bike Cafe!
super impressed with how well spoken you are during this insane climb!
Great idea to share some information for people wanting to get into petsitting. I'm a kiwi who has been pet sitting recently too. 😊
promosm ?
Sorry - I realise I said in the video that a gum tree is also called macrocarpa - 🤭😖 - lets try eucalyptus instead
Hi there - We’re working through the videos we’ve created over the past year. This video was actually made at the end of January 2020, so its almost a year later that its been put up on to the channel. So, if you’re watching it soon after we’ve posted it, just swop any reference to 2020 for 2021 and everything will be current ! (No Covid19 of course back then)
