The Nut And Bolt Restoration Of A Special Edition Trans Am. Part 2
Doing this same very thing minus the lift and the incline of a driveway. Always awesome to see a project come apart and go back together again.
Wish I never sold my 77 Bandit.
Great video! Awesome attention to detail and restoring this TA…. I’m restoring a 1979 Trans Am right now.! Curious what kind of filler that you used to skimm over on the top of the car.?
I used Evercoat Z-grip, any good quality filler would work fine.
Beautiful
Tremendous!
Beautiful, well done!!!
I’m in pursuit of a black Trans Am! He’s all mine so stay out of the way!!!
A very close friend had one exactly like this and bought it in Dallas new off the lot; one of last one's they had. When asked about the difference between that cobra Mustang he totalled he said about 100 horse power. 😂 Me, I had a 78 a few years later for a short while. Nice job and congratulations on the restoration.
I don’t see anything on here that would warrant a 4.5 rating. Someone just didn’t like something for their own reasoning. SMH. And you did something GM was never able to do back in the 70’s and that’s get any lines straight. Trunk never aligned. Hood never aligned. Rear spoiler never aligned. And the UAW wanted GM to pay their line assemblers more money when they produced crap! lol. Car looks great.
WOW! I think that's the most incredible job for a Trans Am restoration I have ever seen. Gives me flash backs to the 70's when I saw these brand new on the car lot, but could only dream about owning one. Did you do all of that in your garage?
I had to come back and watch it again, haha. You are definitely gifted. That paint is mind blowing, I can't get over it.
Wow Amazing! What an Artist You Deserve some Great Awards for what you were able to do I Love this I had a 1976 455 4 speed white Trans Am red interior and bird Dad got it for my oldest brother in 1976 a year later he got a brand new 1977 Grand Prix SJ had T Tops added so my Dad kept Trans Am warmed up for me my middle brother did not want any part of the Trans Am Oh what Fun Dad held on for years till city just threatened to much and I Wish Daddy was alive so I could tell him I will doubt what you think the car had almost 29 thousand miles when parked between 3 of us 7 clutches I really only did 1 Dad paid an in-law to put a racing heavy duty clutch so the last part of my time First gear was towards driver side down and 2nd was where 1 st was supposed to be upside down and I think reverse just said enough Love that factory 8 track tape player loudest factory I heard AM radio just sucked Nice Job
Oh and I was given a model car to put to gather 1977 Blank Trans Am exactly like yours it was Great my wife’s nephew he was young but knew what I liked I never got chance or courage to build so You built the Real Car Perfect so I am sure it would be that only if I could afford! Congratulations on Your Beautiful Build Trans Am
You are a god at work…very impressed with the high quality you performed here.. best I’d ever seen..great great work
Hi there, thanks for your inspirational clip, it’s fantastic. Can you please tell me what the colour code is of the brown/orange paint you are using please. I want to keep my 72 Camaro as authentic as possible. Thank you
Closest color match I could find, Ace Hardware Rust Stop, Ruddy Brown Primer (rattle can), followed by satin clear coat.
@@rkauto6482 thanks very much I’ll try finding it in Australia. Best regards Ozziecamaro
How's the restoration going

3M 05895 EZ sand flexible parts repair
Amazing, beautiful, can’t believe it, the underside, under the hood, the dashboard the seats the paint everything what a work of art. If that isn’t proof that man can accomplish anything… Just amazingly beautiful. Great job
Only just seen this. Very good work you done on your car.
PERFECTION
I remember my first car was a '77 black and gold hardtop! Nowhere as nice as yours, but oh those heavy doors!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
East bound and down…. god bless America and long live the T/A!
Absolutely stunning, incredible job! Thanks for sharing
Very good job! Hope you make many more videos in the future! Starting to follow your channel. A tip, make shorter and rather more videos :) It gives more hits on the videos!
Very nice project car! Nice work! :)
This is what everyone who buys a project car thinks they are going to do. Reality, they can’t change a headlight. Unbelievable job!
WOW great work . this car probably wasn't this nice brand new . i know you restored the car OEM but only thing i would change would be a manual transmission and more up to day suspension for better handling and better ride . but you did a great job restoring it OEM
That has to be the closest thing you could get to a brand new 1977 Trans Am. Amazing work!
Absolutely amazing! That's the way to do the job the right way. Your skills are incredible, and so is your attention to detail. I'm trying to do the same thing to mine, but I don't have half the skills, budget, or facilities/tools.😁
Great Job!! What kind of paint you used to paint the chassis and firewall and did you use any primer before paint ? Thanks, keep it up 👍
This is great. Thanks for sharing, gets me amped up to start my 78.
Amazing work
Holy hell that's what I call 100% hard work and dedication to achieve a BEAUTIFUL car !! Hats off to you !! Outstanding work 👏!!
Hello, what was the cost to do this all by yourself and all the prep in your garage, I have always wanted to undertake something like this, did you have auto body repairing and engine work already under your belt, did you order every part new from places like NPD. The patients you had for a 5 year job in incredible.
I am about to restore a 79 T/A Y84 special edition here in the UK and this is the most inspirational video I have seen on Y/T. More views needed!.
Looks awesome 👌
