Going Vette and Porsche Hunting in an 8th Gen Civic Si
Had an awesome day at Summit Point on 8/2/24. FATT is always a great vibe and I managed to get approved to start driving solo by the end of the day! Had a fun time chasing much faster cars and am pretty stoked that I laid down a 1:32.9 during my last session despite blistering heat (95 degrees) and degrading track conditions (it was getting greasy toward the end).
Car is a 2011 Civic Si on Hoosier R7 225/40/17 square. Upgraded brake pads (DTC-60s front, HP rear), hi temp fluid, and SS lines. DIY icebox intake and a Greddy catback. No tune - currently running stock power. I also take out the back seats and spare on track days to shed a little weight.

8th Gen Civic Si Running a 1:32:9 at Summit Main

This was my first ever solo session and I'm glad I managed to string together a decent lap! My lap timer setup wasn't working (I use Dragy and overheated my phone in the 95 degree weather), but a frame-by-frame shows this lap at 1:32:969. Special thanks to my instructor, Owen, for the excellent coaching and for holding 3rd gear for me all those laps. Now I gotta do it myself! Haha. Car is a 201...

Full session #4 video from Friday at the Track (FATT) at Summit Point on 5/31/24. Managed my fastest lap during this session and really got the rhythm of the track down. Super fun place! Car is a 2011 Civic Si on Hoosier R7 225/40/17. Other than race brake pads (Hawk DTC-60s), she's basically stock!

Had an amazing day at the Friday at the Track (FATT) HPDE on May 31st, 2024. Absolute riot. What’s the suspension setup? Or is it stock
Stock suspension - definitely the main limiting factor at the moment. Under hard trail braking, the suspension gives up and washes the car out before the tires lose grip.
What mod u done to the cat
@@pakourking5726 No mods to the cat. Just a Greddy cat back exhaust. I think it mostly just makes a better noise. I'm not convinced it actually adds any power. Haha.

Haha, thanks! Yea, stupid 3rd gear still pops out on me. It was brutal hanging on through the carousel. My left leg is still sore from trying to brace myself without both hands on the wheel.

Yea, definitely a bumpy track. Definitely made the car get loose more than once throughout the day. Fun, though! Haha
