I remember playing this and enjoying it. Then I progressed and... never finished it because I hated the RTS Stage Battles so much that I stoppped playing. It literally killed my interest in an instant and replayced it with deep frustration

They merged action adventure and strategy battles before Monolith made Shadow of Mordor and patented it's mechanics. Awesome

Correction: The Developers (Double Fine) actually didn't want to hide the RTS elements, especially since they did want the multiplayer to be a huge success as you've mentioned, but EA (the publishers) felt that the game wouldn't sell well due to RTS being relatively niche on console, so tried to advertise it as a marketable Open World Hack'n''Slash title, where both genres have had much more success. While TRUE that Brutal Legend is an Open World Hack'n'Slash, hiding the RTS elements ended up backfiring on EA, as people ended up finding out later anyway and went for refunds. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised, as I've always wanted a game where I could fight along side an army in big ass battles, and this was the perfect opportunity to do it. But, yeah, a LOT of people didn't appreciate the ruse.

This game was a spiritual successor to Giants: Citizen Kabuto. It's not as metal but definitely has the same brand of jokes and gameplay.

I never got around to finish this game, even though I adore it. Sooner or later Double Fine willl make a sequel for sure. Also, you have some info wrong. Double Fine wasn't part of Activision. They were always their own studio, Activision was just a publisher. Today it's different, they're somewhat allowed to do their own thing, but Microsoft owns them. You should play Psychonauts, it's a quintissential video-game with a rare case of a sequel that came way later and it was still fucking great.

The paradise they open starts to get corrupted by the Villains eyes. The paradise, the world they then find themselves in is corrupted, therefore the next one they open will be the perfect world they dreamt of and so , driven ,once again Kiba starts running. Knowing full well that this time they ll succeed
