This video is a collection of short videos with my family taken through the trekking routes of Annapurna Base Camp. Pokhara is the start point of this trekking, from Pokhara airport we reserved taxi then to Nayapul (New bridge) from where we reserved another 4 wheeler Jeep until Jhinu/Chomrong Pool (Bridge). The walking started from this bridge and we walked through Chhomrong, Lower Sinuwa, Upper Sinuwa, Bamboo, Dovan, Himalaya, Deurali, MBC and finally ABC.
October to November is favourable months to trek in Annapurna region. Detail of hotels in this region is available on a board in Chhomrong. I strongly suggest to decide your destination for a day and then make reservations for accommodation as early as in the morning.
Only vegetarian meal is available above Bamboo as Annapurna sanctuary is a sacred place to the main inhabitants, Gurung people and believed to be home of the several deities.
Most of the hotels/lodges offer a package which includes dinner, breakfast, basic accommodation, toilets, shower, wifi and charging. The package price starts around Rs 1,300 per person from Jhinu and it inflates as we ascend towards ABC.
From most videos I gathered that the average total cost for this trek is about Rs 15,000 per person for this journey but for us it was more than that (mainly because of enjoying beverage beers : about Rs 700-800 per 550 ml can and drinking lot of hot drinks).
It is a well marked route and you can meet a lot of trekkers during this beautiful journey.
If walking is troublesome, you can also hire to ride a mule in certain parts of the area.
