I was born in 1967. When I said my prayers at night my mom would always ask the Lord to watch over our boys overseas. I was little and didn’t really understand. When I was older and they were selling the POW bracelets, she bought enough for us all. I wore mine some of the time because it was too big. My mom wore hers until her soldier came home. I wish I still had those bracelets. My dad, brother and my soldiers never came home. I joined the Marine Corps when I was 27. I served in the GWOT wars and know more about losing buddies. Iraq and Afghanistan took so many good Marines, Sailors, Airmen and Soldiers while I was in both theaters. I see the similarities in our government’s actions in the pullout from Afghanistan and Vietnam. I try not to think about my friends who died and the worthless harris biden administration pullout debacle.

I was in i think 4th grade or so and my buddie i hung around with was taken out of class . His family took him home they were notified i believe it was an uncle very young was killed by a sniper in Vietnam. Only 19 im pretty sure. Terrible day for the family. Years later they had an incredible dedication to him they renamed the park after him. A big event it was something else. Today that park is a beautiful park. Ill never forget that day in school.

In Viet Nam I saw way to much killings 24 hours day and night, bombs, mine fields, the rain, the heat of the jungle, this was over 50 years ago, I am still a mess us kids at age 20 killing in Nam was a f.. nightmare. We came back to our country, who treated us like shit .For those of us who made it back to the USA, were hated for doing a war job we were forced to do

This video brings back really pleasant memories for me and I'm glad I discovered it. Your trip from the Tokyo city center to Hakata reminds me of an impromptu ride I took on a Shinkansen to Tokyo Disneyland with my family thirty-four years ago. Just right in the middle of a relentless thunderstorm, too! Right after our great time at Disneyland, we took a Shinkansen back downtown and walked in the middle of rush hour foot traffic to get to a Famous Amos cookie store. Went back to our hotel drenched, but happy. Thanks so much for this brief, but beautiful trip back into time:)

My older brother draft medical board waved him do to failing his eye sight screening. I passed my physical, but since the year was 73 everything was coming to a close. I did graduate early from HS and joined the Navy in early 74. Retired 23 years lates as an 0-4, the government sends me a thank you check every month. Unfortunately, my heart won't make it too long. So, they win.
