Tapestry Pickleball is my channel where I post my matches in the NY-NJ-CT area. I gave up auto racing for tennis, then I gave up tennis for pickleball. Excluding injuries, I have been playing pickleball for about 1.5 years. I mostly play singles since the tennis translates well for that kind of play, doubles so-so.
I enter almost all the tournaments in NJ when I can.
I like playing at Ramsey indoor and North Arlington.

Had a good run in the Montclair Winter Open, got to the Final 4, just missed the medal round. This was later in the night, at least 8 games in. We were both exhausted.

Pickleball Palace - Dink & Dash Holiday Smash - Men's 4.0 Singles. I went 4-1 in the pool, if I didnt blow this one, I would have been 5-0 in the pool and had an easier time in the medal round. Ended up getting knocked out by the 4.55 rated Gold Medal Winner.

I think I was twice the age of the entire field. Hopefully Hudson River Pickleball will add a 4.0 and under, 4.5 is little out of my league, especially with all the young guys in it.

great match. You need to return and volley OFTEN. With fast ground strokes like yours, you'll immediately put him on the defensive with a return and volley. If you try to play it like tennis and stay at the baseline, hes not pressured at all.
Thanks! I had a little bit of a tweaked calf, so i had to let some balls I normally would have got go, but yeah, I’ll start approaching more, long time tennis player here.

How are you getting the brake data? Is it either on or off or is it an actual pressure value?
I use Race Capture Pro MK3, it allows for analog signals. I ran one wire from the tail light to the unit. Its not pressure, just on off.
What size Hoosiers are you running front and back?
18x9 front wheel with 275 35 18, Rear wheel 18x10.5 with 295 40 18
What kind of kids do u have done to it? I was looking into getting either the Mini Cooper s or the 350z to start doing track days what's your opinion?
What is the end goal? Are you going to cage it at some point and enter wheel to wheel racing? That mini was heavily modded
bbZ06 don't think I'll ever do wheel to wheel racing especially not with either of these cars don't have the time it'll just be a track car I use a few times a year i would cage it if I enjoy it enough and start making a nice few mods to it but for now I just wanna take out mostly the interior for weight reduction and do a few suspension mods
I would go in this order, 02-05 Z06, Mini and 350Z last. If you find a low mileage Z06, all you need to add is some swaybars and you have a track car capable of keeping up with race prepped cars with no mods. That is what I have now, but a Z06 is still around $18k. Minis handle like go carts on the track, its definitely a fun car. I would stick with the 02-06 Mini cooper, the engine is supercharged as opposed to Turbo like the 07- on. You can probably get one for 5-6k, then add these mods: AST 5100 Coilovers, R56 trailing arms conversion, TCE Wilwood brake kit, front and rear swaybars, adjustable rear control arms, OS Giken Diff, 15% supercharger pulley, interior weight reduction. All in you might be in the $13,150 if you buy new parts and do the work yourself. If you want more power, then you need to start adding 7-8k for a built engine.

Now that its been a few months, would you recommend these axles? My car is lowered and I do plan on driving it as its meant to be driven and would like to rule out constant axle failures. Hoping these CV Boots won't tear as easily as stock.

I also had problems with mine I found that when lying next to each other they look the same but when standing them up the drive shaft shop one compressed almost ten milimeter more than oem and jumped out when going around sharp corners
