    You’re a strong & compassionate one, brotherman. I hesitated to comment because I don’t want to cause you to rewatch this & get triggered. I do hope you’re still living on this side of the sod & doing well. This was posted 3 years ago… how is your progress going towards your 5 year vision? How has it changed? How has your perspective changed? How have your goals changed for the next 5? We don’t know each other in this world, but it’d be nice to know that you’re still keeping it pushing. I don’t ask those questions for me or for you to feel the need to answer them for the whole internet to see (regardless of your intent, people will exploit you if you share too much; PLEASE guard your heart!), mostly just asking to check on you & for you to check yourself & your progress. It’s like a two year warning that you’re coming up on your five years. Much respect for sharing your strength, struggle, & success. Be Well.

      Most addicts are very intelligent. Addiction does not discriminate, smart, not so smart, rich or poor. Anyone can get hooked. Addiction is a power far more greater than a person.

    I fixed the title it was a generalization in society today most people don't want the same things they did 40 years ago, a lot of men still want to find a more traditional life, wife family and children one day in todays world women are not encouraged to do that. They want to the provider and two providers in one family leaves a child alone. The reason mothers stayed home for years is they are the nurtures men have always been providers and if you have no one to nurture it will hurt the child.

    • @jessicam3543
      @jessicam3543 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that children need to be nurtured, but men can be just as nurturing, when given the chance. Even better, is when they come to realize showing love, compassion & affection isn't a weakness, but a strength. I also agree that things are a lot different than just 40 years ago. 40 years ago I got punched in the mouth and had my teeth knocked out because I wanted to play baseball and "girls aren't allowed". Our society/culture (driven by advertising to prop up capitalism, imo), has put behavioral burdens on both men and women. I don't agree that all women back then stayed home because all they wanted out of life was a "traditional" family. Hell, we were still treated as property and couldn't even vote until 1920. Well, white women were allowed to vote anyway. Women were forced into their roles, just as men were forced into many of theirs. Most, if not all, Native American tribes were were run by a matriarchal line. Women were in positions of leadership and respect, as were the men. Our Constitution is based off of the Six Nations way of governing. Anyway, there are some very good studies about whether men can be just as good of parents as women. In fact there's a docuseries on Netflix I think it's called "Babies", that gets into this. Using brain mapping, you can the same parts of the brain light up in men (for nurturing), as they do for women, when they're given the chance to spend time with their kids. Most cultures have kept women down, in part, using that old excuse for literally hundreds of years. At the same time, men haven't been *'allowed* to show their feelings, for fear of being labeled 'unmanly'. They're forced to hold their feelings in and then we wonder why they explode in fits of rage or reckless abandon. Humans are social beings who need to Express themselves, and they all want to be free to make their own choices. That 'sneakiness' you brought up (I don't remember the exact word you used) is, imo, something like a defense mechanism for many women, to keep them safe from being beaten down, physically & figuratively. Unable to own their own property or businesses, unable to vote, degraded and treated as inferiors, they had to find a way to get the things they needed or wanted. In general, women don't have the brawn to just take things, so they had to use their brains to find ways to get them. I think we're seeing less of that, as women, of all colors, move forward and start to get comfortable with their newfound 'freedom'. Of course this made/makes men uncomfortable. Most people don't like big changes to their routines and when women started going out and working, which mainly started because of WWII & later our country's deteriorating financial situation, and the women's movement (again stemming from the 40's). Today there are women who have subreddits about not wanting to have children, as well as not wanting to work and both just want to not be disparaged or put down for their choices. Today, our capitalist system is working so well 🙄 both parents are usually forced to work and often have more than one job. I remember hearing the whole issue about "latchkey kids" back in the late 80's, maybe early 90's. It is sad that kids today rarely spend as much time with their parents as in the past, whether that parent identifies as male or female. Imo, it plays a large role in the disastrous ly and dangerously growing mental health crisis we have in this country and, along with the incredibly sad job market, low wages, long hours and lost benefits (my parent's generation & part of mine) enjoyed (like employer paid health insurance, paid vacations, guaranteed raises & guarantees you couldn't be fired for, just about, any reason an employer feels like); all this leads to alarming rise in overdoses and suicide rates. Have you ever heard about the "Rat Park" study? Or about how the govt was terrified of what they were going to do when the thousands of returning "addicted" Vietnam vets came home? So many were using heroin, and they were mainlining too, that the govt feared the huge problems that were going to be caused among the general public when they returned. Yet, something amazing happened. The majority of those banging vets came home and, no longer having to participate & live with the atrocity of war, never used heroin again. Sorry, I digress; back to the main theme... It's not that women 'all of a sudden' decided they wanted more out of life than changing diapers, cleaning a house & making dinner for 'their' families...many have wanted to have the right to choose between homemaking, a career, or both, for a long time. As men have begun to support them and take a more proactive role in helping with the running of a household and actually participating in their own children's lives, and not demonized by other men (& women=people) for being "pussies", both have found they can be very happy doing this...but again, this only for the few who have the financial and mental stability available to them. Many men are finding out they really enjoy being able to stay home & get to actually know their kids (something they rarely got to do in the 'good 'ol days) and women are finding they enjoy working outside the home and having the responsibility of being the main provider- and both are getting a look into the problems & stresses each 'life's brings as well, and both are coming to a better understanding of each other, imo. You know; 'walking a mile' in each other shoes. I'm really glad you changed the title, thank you❤, and I'm glad you're looking into different things. We're all in this together and the sooner people work together, instead of tearing each other down and pointing fingers- and, if you're over 18 & not actively trying to make this country better- then we're All to blame for the current state of things; nothing will get better. Remember "Divide & Conquer" is one of the oldest tricks in the book. If we're all to busy hating each other over perceived differences (fed to us daily from birth through the mainstream media) we will never have the strength and numbers to stand together.✌❤

  • @jessicam3543
    @jessicam3543 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow...listening now. There are just as many men that have cheated on women. People are people. And people do fucked up shit to each other. It doesn't matter if they're female or male. You're complaining about women making assumptions about men they've never met, while you make assumptions about women you've never met. The person I met/know, saying this shit, is better than that. "Based on *your* life experiences". Not everyone has the same experiences and people that are addicted, as you said yourself, are going to do things people that aren't, won't. Please don't spread this red pill/incel-type shit that all women cheat and lie. All human beings do it. Glad you finally said that, once. Have respect for yourself and others and you won't have to deal with so much bullshit. Every relationship has some type of bullshit it goes through. Relationships, especially longterm, take work, respect and honesty from both people to suceed. You're not even 40 yet, acting like you know the world and putting down women like that. I get it; you're angry and hurt at the world, but your blanket statements about women, are just as messed up as women making videos talking about how to use men. Hope you start feeling better soon.❤

    I just came from Reddit where I saw your post. What did you do for withdrawals?

    • @RaNDoMzZz0II
      @RaNDoMzZz0II 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a difference between addiction and dependence, I stuck it out for three days and got into a program had a few bumps early on but hands down suboxone saved my life. See the way it works is it binds to same receptors as real opiates. So after a while of being on it when you use, you don't feel it like you do but barely in fact every time I slipped I felt like I just wasted my money, it wasn't that same rush I was looking for. I've thought about taper off but I abused opiates a very long time and I doubt my brain produces dopamine's naturally, so suboxone honestly balances me out and obviously no withdrawal symptoms but you cant get high on it, I mean technically someone who has never used an opiate could get lit but if your'e already addicted all its gonna do is take the shakes and night sweats away and give you a good nights sleep been on the same dose since i started. some people go up but the max you can get its 16mg cause your body physically cant absorb more another so its impossible to abuse/OD on unless you mix other drugs as well. If this is something that interests you consider checking out one of the programs in your area, those councilors at least in my experience really do care about you getting better. I'm not just a number to them and I've made so much progress especially consider I didn't relapse even after losing my soul mate who passed away. Was it hard and do I want to use sure but I know she would want better for me just gotta find motivation somehow

    • @RaNDoMzZz0II
      @RaNDoMzZz0II 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one is normal I just meant a lot of us have sadness and pain that isn't dealt with, I think that the majority of heroin users have huge depression or anxiety problems, I've just never met someone who is genuinely happy with their life and use dope, And personally I no doubt used it to mask the pain, but I know everyone has different experiences the same situation can happen to two different people and it affect them in totally different ways, just in my years of counseling I've learned that a lot of things in my childhood that I never even thought about greatly affected me negatively. I hope some of things I said helped, its the only reason I started the channel to help others. I just feel like people act like addicts are less then human. I've lost quite a few people being so open about my addiction even though I've been holding onto my sobriety and going through the most difficult time in life by far, if I can just help one person at least I know I tried

    • @RaNDoMzZz0II
      @RaNDoMzZz0II 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      here is a source for a lot of the things I'm about to tell you just so you know I'm being honest www.limestonehealth.com/addiction/suboxone-vs-methadone/ Methadone doesn't stick to your receptors like suboxone does, ima be 100% honest methadone can and will give you a high still if you're on a high enough dose and most people can go up to 200mg until they cut you off, methadone is a synthetic opioid that is great for pain relief because it is absorbed slowly but id just like to say I've seen a lot of people rocked on methadone You can see where I'm going with this witch to suboxone and here is why even though they are both synthetic opioids suboxone is a partial opioid antagonist so it activates them but not fully which means it sucks for pain relief but it will help with cravings especially overtime and this is why buprenorphine is actually stronger than heroin, that's why if you give someone whos never done an opiate a very tiny piece of suboxone they will be high for basically all day. So why does this matter?? when you're on suboxone and you take it I'm telling you the longer you take it, every slip up will feel less and less more worth it because to put it simply suboxone will bind to your receptors and when they heroin comes in it'll bounce off the opiate receptors so you'll feel like you wasted your money and longer you're on it the stronger it is plus then you have to punish yourself and wait 24 hours to take your next sub if you take a sub before your with drawling its bad news look up "precipitated withdrawal" if you don't know what I'm talking about, Also find a councilor who makes you feel like you matter and aren't a number i think that's very important in recovery no one really notices that but people do heroin because for some its pain but for most they are very unhappy in life and heroin takes that away, Well when you're on suboxone for a few months a fat shot will feel like you took half a tab and you'll be more than likely just pissed you wasted your money and in many cases wont even feel the high. I'm not saying suboxone will magically heal you and fix everything but its a got a better chance than methadone just because suboxone is that happy medium where its impossible to OD on your brain cant even absorb anything past 16mg its actually impossible, and most importantly, you wont be high but you'll still get that dopamine which if you're someone who used for years just quitting cold turkey usually doesn't work long term and sure it does for some, like I've seen the 12 steps help a lot of people but it wasn't for me Straight up it was suboxone and a really good councilor who made me see that i was using because i hated life and instead of thinking of it as quitting heroin i thought of it as what am I going to do or use to replace it. And my girlfriend was my biggest reason i stayed sober and she's been gone over 7 months now yet I'm still sober just for her so don't believe the lies, I'm not sober for myself, I'm sober in honor of Marissa and for my loved ones so they never have to experience the pain I'm feeling I hope this was helpful and feel free to comment or message me whenever I'm make add an email in the description of my videos encase people feel more comfortable chatting in private, it's my "business email" technically not my personal so that should be allowed mlspankywastaken@gmail.com

    • @RaNDoMzZz0II
      @RaNDoMzZz0II 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Armandolopez-is5jr kratom would be your only option since it is an opiate but much safer and in fact many people use it for pain/to get off opiates and heroin however for me i just couldn't handle the taste so i got capsules which sucked cause i had a high tolerance so id have to take like 15-20 capsules to take the withdrawals away and it took about an hour and half, if you can stand the taste it'll take withdrawals away within 30 min as far as natural vitamins to help with that, if there are any I've never heard or used one that worked, I've seen sketchy websites claim it does but nothing scientific Also if you keep using heroin while taking methadone that's exactly why you experience those withdrawal systems so fast heroin has a half life of 4-6 hours a half life is how long it takes to remove half of the drug from your system. Methadone has a half life of 12-18 hours, but most people i know are fine once they find their correct dose it could very well be your dose isn't high enough, or because you're still using heroin you're with drawling form the heroin and not the methadone which to me sounds much more likely cause methadone builds up in your system and eventually takes 15-47 hours to remove half the dose. this is why a recommend suboxone because of the extremely long half life 24-48 hours, it all depends on your metabolism, if you want to stay on methadone but feel its not enough i would use kratom instead of H because it has a lot less risk of an overdose and is actually a natural plant, but its still an opiate keep that in mind do research on it a lot of people will claim it saved their life and down people who use methadone or suboxone but if they stopped taking kratom they would have insane withdrawals it just happens when you use opiates and using H is more than likely what you're withdrawals come from not the methadone or your methadone dose needs to be raised This is why I typically recommend suboxone over methadone because it will take your cravings away and it will build up in your system and make it so when you use H you simply don't get high, obviously its better just to be completely sober but for some of us its not that easy or we aren't ready yet

    You went through something very traumatic, it's going to take time. Sometimes it's ok, to not be ok. I think you're doing really well.❤ You understand that you need to sleep, figure out how to gain wait, make goals & understand the things you need to do to help yourself and that is fantastic. Finding a good counselor can make a huge difference, to anyone that might read this, sometimes it takes a few different appointments to find one that each person feels comfortable with. I love that you want to help others while you're going through so much, it's a beautiful way to help you get through, please just be careful about taking on too much and putting too much pressure or stress on yourself.❤ The fact you have used can't be forgotten either, you're doing amazing. I have about the same sleep schedule, a lot of doctors just don't get it, because they've never been there. Wishing you all best and hope you reach your goal of 100 subs soon.✌🏼❤

      you gotta protect yourself remember and keep yourself healthy but your son could use your help too im sure, granite he has to choose this on his own you cant force him to change but if you can be there for him he probably needs you
