Review Metra 99-7804B for the 2013-15 Honda Accord Pt 2
Is this kit compatible with a Boss Audio System BVCP9685A radio? And with this kit, the factory information is still shown on the upper screen, I refer to fuel economy "current drive, history drive and clock" I would appreciate it if you answered my question, thanks
Can you send me info to my email of this?
Confirmed. If you purchase a new radio for this type of Honda, I recommend Crutchfield. Get the "ready harness" setup and they'll do the main harness and Axxess SWC harness for you. Additionally, the Metra kits come with an additional Axxess harness (larger), that is for your TOP DISPLAY, it gives you the screen and maintains the functionality of it. So you'll have 2 AXXESS boxes behind the dash and you'll be 100%.

Where did you exactly run your power wire and Can you fit a o gauge wire through that cut
Did you use the harness from eBay sold by brolly
Good job on the soldering!
i plugged everything in and still have no steering controls only for top screen.. not volume skip track and camera on radio shows no picture
There's a control wire that needs to be connected if I remember right to flip through the top screen. I threw away my notes when I traded the car but it had a breakdown of how to make and pin the harness.
there goes the car warranty :)
Mike, how did you get the fcw on dash??
I actually traded the car in 2016 and disposed of all my engineering notes. Wish I didn't after seeing such a strong following between the forums and TH-cam. Not sure if Metra has made any updates for the adapter but I would have more faith in idatalink or PAC's integration skills. I miss the car and what it offered but needed something bigger for the career change. I especially miss the fuel economy. If I happen to find the schematics or tutorial online I'll post the link. While my solution wasn't perfect I felt it was the best option available for a stereo replacement.
Any new update on this
Hi Michael. Good job on all the work you did. I have a 2013 accord exl and hate not having nav and android auto/car play. Just some questions, did removing the radio and using the Metra affect your lane warning or collision camera? I see in your video that you removed the Metra due to the buginess. I have read online that Metra has updated firmware to eliminate the buginess and add lines back to the reverse camera. Have you tried updating and reinstalling the Metra, if so do you find it works better than when you first installed it. Sorry for the length of the questions. And thank you in advance. Luis
"I hope nobody gets sick" dude that had me in tears. Great video though no info around on how to save all the features with the touch screen model stereo, this was great.
Hey I have a exl with premium system, How did you extend the antenna wire, since it’s no antenna plug behind radio? What extension wire should I buy?
So if you have a nav you're boned basically, man, I picked the wrong car
How do you make the factory screen work with the aftermarket radio
does your sub works? are you using amp?
Can you change your wallpaper type? If so, can you still upload your own images via the USB port?
I honestly need your help, I’m a little confused now! I watched all three of your videos in regards of this. I have a 2013 Honda Accord EXL touchscreen no navvy. Now in this video you said that you are using PAC SWI-RC, but in your other video I saw you installing a ASWC-1 for your steering wheel control. So which one is it that you are using?? And do I need to order a Metra 99-7804B or a 99-7804HG??? I so confused. Help me please. Thank you.
What a pain. Great job on gettin' 'er done! I just talked to crutchfield and they recommended the Metra 99-7804 Dash and Wiring Kit for my 2014 Accord EX. I assume the Axxess module would allow for not having to keep the factory radio but am not sure. Again, thanks for the video.
You think you can email me a wiring diagram for the installation? I’m trying to do this for my accord but it’s kind of confusing
U ever get thr wiring diargam
where can i buy that kit please ?? i have a aftermarket stereo system but the imid screen didnt work...
Tobi Nguyen try this kit, it will retain everything without bugs. www.ebay.com/itm/162423137547
does it able to get the back up camera and lane watch camera to work on imid screen ??
Where did u get the radio schematic? I’m doing an upgrade on my system please let me know
John Jose Honda has a page with all the schematics. It will cost you $20 for a month so you can download everything
Hey michael, i just bought my 2015 honda accord and im a huge sound guy. Im discouraged to realize how hard this is to install. Ive watched a bunch of videos and dont know where to start. I dont know if youre still active on here but if you somehow see this or anyone else does would you mind contacting me? @ jeremygagne9@gmail.com. If so id greatly appreciate it! I have just a couple questions
Does metra come with all this cables u beed to convert the after market dash with the top screen?
Hi, Will be thankful for replies. I have a 2016 GCC specks accord. In the factory head unit there is no Bluetooth connectivity and there is no rear view camera (no provision). I got OEM head unit from eBay and installed it. Now I want to hookup a hfl mic to the head unit(Bluetooth connectivity with my fone is good) and a rear view camera to the head unit. Can someone help me to to find out where I want to connect the mic in the head unit, and secondly where I want to connect an after market camera in the head unit.
What is the item # for that main interface box from axxess?
You mentioned you have the factory radio schematic, can you share it?
Can i plug all the harness in the stock stereo and just use the power, ground, and constant from aftermarket radio. Will that keep top screen working again?
Jovan R. Did that work
What about the speaker wires ?
lol @ shrink wrap
Hey I have a 2013 accord EX with the factory 4 speaker system none of the extra stuff. My question is would that be very easy to install. any help would be appreciated
man I was looking to install my pioneer nex but this kit is far from perfect, hopefully they get the bugs worked out or someone else makes one.
Did you bypass the Oem amplifier?
Thank you this was extremely helpful
Did this kit work. I was thinking about get the kit. I use a regular harness for a single dig radio. will that mess up the wiring? please help.
parts please!!
Hi, thnk you so much for the explanation and the hard work to get there. Your video conviced me it's a bad idea to get to a dealer and convert it to the Metra B as it is running into difficult mods and extra labour hours to be paid to the professional install garage. Is there any possibility to just miror my phone to the top unit (Alpine on my car, EXLV6 with Navi, but do not use the included navi as there is no maps for Europe (imported car Accord coupe 2014). Which cable should I connect to the top screen to mirror my android phone ? Is there an Apline cable to coonect to the immid system n order to mirror my phone to be able to use Waze or Google maps? Instead of the whole installation. Thank you
can u put up the list of parts plz.?
I have a 2017 Accord Sport. I already own an NEX 8100. I don't want to loose backup camera or imid obviously but I don't want to deal with Metra's bugginess. Were you able to hide your factory radio to keep imid features while still installing your pioneer unit? Please let me know. Not a lot of people are able to help! Thank you!
Any update on this video? I'm waiting for mine to arrive... I want to know if there's any changes since this video was a year ago? Thanks!
Here is my email address Jose69jdm@gmail.com I have a 2013 Honda Accord sport I have two female and one male adapter
Looks like a lot of work but it's worth it I definitely want to do it And I was searching on Amazon for an interface for it and I found this but I don't know if it's the same as the one that metra. Has Axxess HDCC-01 Radio Replacement Interface for Select 2012-2014 Honda Vehicles
were you able to take pictures or make a video
+Jose Cardoza Martinez Got the car back. After to tear into the dash in the next day or so to change the clock for daylight savings time. I can take some pics then. Been thinking about making a tutorial on how I did the install. Seems to be a lot of interest.
+Michael Perri you should make a video of it instead since you know how to explain things
Were you able to do a video or have you taken a picture of it Michael Perri
Michael Perri Is it the same module as the Axxess ASWC-1 User interface for Honda ? Where could i buy the samething you bought ?
How did you hide it behind the dash???
My cars in the body shop. When I get it back I'll take apart my dash and I can take a couple pictures for you. It does require some modification though and some extra wiring. It's not difficult but it's certainly not something for the novice to do.
+Michael Perri have you got your car back?
+Jose Cardoza Martinez Not yet. Should get my car back by next week
+Michael Perri how about you explain how you did it if you don't mind because I'm going crazy by not having any of the factory features working right now specially the swc
+Michael Perri did you get your car back already
Not worth it yet. Way too buggy. What I ended up doing was hiding my factory stereo behind the dash to retain the factory options.
How did you hide it behind the dash?? I can't imagine where to put it
Any updates on the kit?? Is it worth buy in it?
nope not worth it. ...Youre better off buying some metra harnesses ( 70-7129 & 71-7129)and make your own wires to extend radio into the trunk.
please post more videos. like ur videos.
I installed this on my 2014 accord. does not work at all I had the same issues u have. called metra and they have no idea what's going on with my module.
