This V6 Firebird lived a good life, relatively speaking. That did not save it from making its last stop.

Interesting fact: The LS trim was made only for 1993 and 1994 This one has the LT1 5.7 liter V8 but that was not enough to outrun the car abusers.

Last stop: 2001 Lincoln Town Car Cartier edition
มุมมอง 373หลายเดือนก่อน
These are getting rarer and rarer in salvage yards. The Cartier Edition was the top of the line trim for the 1998-2002 Town Car. The 2003-2011 did not have offer a Cartier trim at all. Making this the last of its kind.

Absolutely gorgeous and beautiful car 😮! To I want one, but with an old school engine,5 speed tranny and a roll bar!😊, just in case!😅, I mean, at 68 years old, my reflexes aren't what they used to be!🤔😂😏😎♥️
That is not an authentic 1953 Cadillac color. Might be called coral, certainly not "pink". Try doing some research before posting a video.
I am sure vast majority of people will call it a shade of pink.
That’s a Series 62 coupe. Not an Eldorado.
Thank you for the correction.
Old State Police Car?
No. Only the wheels were
Man I wish gm would bring back Pontiac and the trans am
May look immaculate but these things are pieces of junk. I remember seeing a similar German car, a bmw 7 series of the same year at Mecum and it was leaking oil.
Perhaps that is why it ended up in the junkyard
Wood delete too Good blue interior parts need alot
Sad! That Firebird should still be on the roads. Surprised the yard didnt try to sell it whole. Probably needs an engine or trans. Still a better car then some of the new cars in 2024.
We see this kind of waste all the time, unfortunately.
@countryroadautopartsusa6466 , I can imagine. A car that can be fixed & provide thousands of miles of affordable driving verses the new junk on the roads today.
Really a shame how many cars are abused after rolling off the assembly line. That Caprice was nice back in the day. Stylish & comfy. No better way to ride on the roads.
Thank you
welcome. Happy you found it useful.
Just a shame! That 1989 Rigotta should still be styling on the streets. Shocked the yard didnt try to sell her whole.
Liked that 1978 model Seville before the later model slant trunks were on the scene. This last stop caddy had a lot of good parts. Lookin at that engine. Probably runs!
Weenie
AWESOME TRANS AM! Thanks for posting. I am a new subscriber.
Thank you!
@@countryroadautopartsusa6466 Sure thing.
Sad to see that Cartier end up in the salvage yard. Wonder what did her in. From the looks surprised the yard didnt try to sell her before putting it out for stripping parts!
Engine failure due to neglect.
I would turn off comment s at this point
ive never seen a trans am in that color IRL besides on YT
One year only color and think the only Green Trans Am in any shade.
I'm a Cadillac fan However the 73 Caddy was one ugliest Caddys. I could almost guarantee it has 74 not 174 thousand miles. Unfortunately those 472s usually don't go higher then 110k
I disagree about the interio space: There is plenty of legroom in the front and back. The front seat is moved all the way back, the glove box is open and the interior is just a mess. This makes it look small. In reality, it isn't. It seats at least 5 people plus 2 dogs comfortably. Guess, how I know 😗
Those old Electra's were great old cars, used to have one
Nice, reminds me of the 1970 LeSabre we used to own. It was pea green with green carpet and green interior, had a 350 4bbl, same dash. My ‘69 Riviera had the same dash too, also had a 430.
What type of engine did this car have
Good parts too on that
430 is replacement engine in that car..455 came in all Electra's in 1970. Not that the 430 was bad. Plenty of balls. Drove a 69 for 25 years.
They striped that duice and a quarter of it's dignity that should have never happen to duice 🙁
I agree. The owner never put it up for sale. Instead they had it hauled to the local pick-a-part. That is the sad end of it.
Roman's taxi from gta 4
This is as sweet as it gets!
Wow I know at one time that T/A was well loved.
Love that 1970 Buick!.🤗
Such a gen and the color😍😍 I would love to own that for sure!!
Thank you for making the video, it really helped me.
I am happy it was helpful. Welcome.
Probably cant even save the 1984 trans am restoring it.. looks like the seats will destroy the foundation if removing it. And the bottom line that car need alot of work. But me i will trash that one. Because everything looks shot. Like crumbs if you touch everything. But if it has a title. And i will change my mind and restore the dag on car. And take 5 years to make it new again. 🤣
Looks too far gone.
Not correct. The 280ZX superseded the 280Z which ran from 1975-1978. Yes, the 280ZX was first offered for the 1979 model year. General Motors had a plant in Van Nuys, CA (a suburb of LA) which operated until 1992 and last built the 3rd generation F body cars. I have GM vehicles and a new Toyota. My 2024 Corolla has more US content (55%) than my 2012 Chevrolet Sonic (47%). You could get four wheel disc brakes on a F body in 1979 (my 10th Anniversary Trans Am has them), so nothing exotic there, but yes, they weren't as commonplace as they are today. That's an oil pressure (not fuel pressure) gauge. The VIN gets the win: H for 2.8L (L28E) straight six engine with fuel injection, G for 2+2 coupe, S130 for 280ZX and the rest is the production sequence. They were assembled at the Nissan Shatai plant in Japan which is a contract manufacturing plant with Nissan that still operates today. Exterior paint is either code 906 Red and or 603 Maroon Mist Metallic.
You were too far away from the VIN plate to get the number, but the VIN for the win would be: 1G2 for US made Pontiac, A for manual seat seat belts, W for Trans Am, 87 for two door coupe, G for 5.0L (305 CID) V8 with four barrel, high output, RPO code "L69", then a random check digit, E for the 1984 model year, then either N for Norwood, OH assembly or L for Van Nuys, CA assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Van Nuys plant closed in 1992 and the Norwood plant closed in August of 1987. There were 1,500 of these cars made. Correct, the 3rd generation F body cars were supposed to get Pontiac V8s, but GM decided to go with corporate power.
It’s so hard and sad to see a once beauty Ignored and forgotten like that just so sad the year I graduated from high school
It is a terrible loss for a special edition TA
We gotta bring back not only pop up headlights but glass hatchback trunks
Hey where is the yard where this car is at???
The car has been scrapped a while back
What a shame. Beautiful piece of art work. All the 50s cars and golden era muscle were preserved perfectly for some reason, but not a whole lot of malaise era cars. I’m happy to see TH-camrs restoring them as of recently.
Which yard?
This particular one was in Sun Valley
Should I get this for a first car
Absolutely great car to own with the LT1 V8 Have owned 2 of these.
Amazing beautiful project C107. Any one know the wheels spec. Tire Size, width, Et, backspace..... Etc. And wide body kit where available. Waiting your reply
No knowledge of the items you mentioned. This was in a local car show.
@@countryroadautopartsusa6466 thank you for your quick reply and interest and patience
Welcome.
The car is a FRAUD. They did not put A/C in an SD 455 engine with a 4 speed with an automatic you could have ordered it but why I would ask. A/C stinks. So the way I see it, its just a brewster green 455 4spd car with A/C....no SD.....So....that car had what really is a station wagon motor in it until it was rebuilt anyway.
I would add too, the center caps on the Rally II wheels are WRONG.
Also, keep that firechicken sticker off, its not good.
A brewster green 4 speed SD is a Holy Grail level Pontiac. Potentially a $500,000 to $1,000,000 car. Nobody is going to own a Brewster SD 4spd and screw up on a detail like the caps and trim rings. Same goes for the incorrect RTS dash bezel. The SD decals on the shaker are lame. What a poser.
@@trashboat2000-tj3sd The highest priced sale I saw was for $265K......cheap in my mind considering some oddball 429 Mustang goes for double that........the Pontiac should double that, but it doesn't, and that's Ok.
I agree that they dont bring the money proportionate to Chevy, Ford, Mopar cars of the same pedigree. Round port cars... Ram Air II, RA IV, 455SD, 455HO should bring a lot more than they do. Some private sales prices are never disclosed, so who knows what the right Brewster 4spd SD would really be valued at. Back in the early 90s I came across a brewster/saddle, base engine 455, 4spd TA that was repainted white at the dealer in order to get it off the lot. Damn, I wish that I would've bought that car.
I seen these at police auctions for 2000/3500
Not in this condition. The ones you mention are former police cars.
How much
The car was sold a few months ago for $8600
@@countryroadautopartsusa6466damn she's such a rare beauty😍😍 I sure hope she went to a loving home that understands how cool and rare a beautiful red B4U like that is. I sure would love to have it. I remember these new and loved these Caprices way more than the Crown Vics. That beautiful red color tells me either it was a Fire Department chief car or chief of police possibly because of the condition and no holes anywhere. But back in those days a lot of police cruisers did not have a partition but it also depended on the area. But man this B4U is AWESOME!!😍😍😍😍
@@mopargm9329 It did go to a good home.
Believe it or not, that ZX has substantial value: Fenders, Hood, Doors, Bumpers, Lamp Extensions, Bumper Shocks, etc. Even the the door guards have value if they can be removed. I don't want to even start on the engine parts.
MICHELTFDAKKKJR
I liked it when Nissan made the 280z it had a straight 6
Not much of these around anymore. They were the BEST Nissans.
Yes and the one that followed it until the 95 model came out and from there it has been all downhill.
@@countryroadautopartsusa6466 That is very true because i’ve owned Nissans.Nothing like they used to be.
Real 4 sp car
One of 72 how long have you owned. I had a 74 4sp
