I've spent hundreds of hours on this game, and i'm still finding side quests i've never done before.

I can never trigger this quest. I managed to get it to work once on accident.

On my unarmed playthrough . . . So the guy you just saw rip ghouls heads off with one punch, that's the guy you want to betray?

It's even more hilarious if you're late in the game and roll up in Power Armor and a Minigun. "Are you SURE you want to fight me?"

The only thing they achieve is getting hated.

I still remember my first ever playthrough. I was just minding my own damn business and then this ranger came up to me and I was like what the fuck who are you ppl? then when she explained what was going on and I had a 3 day period to fix my rep. I said nah and killed her and the other 2 rangers. Boone was w/ me as well and he gave me the get your shit together w/ the NCR or I’m leaving speech, so I reloaded my save just b4 this convo and fixed my rep w/ the NCR😂

This story encapsulates the really sad nature of Freeside. You’re either destitute and suffering or you’re doing well for yourself but your community does everything in its power to exploit, rob or hurt you for some lousy money, power, drugs or even just sport. I mean there's a thousand stories like this in Freeside. The Van Graffs murder the Silver Rush owners to take it over, squatters beat locals up for fun, brilliant people like Bill Ronte get exploited by dealers like the Garrets etc. What a hellhole
