I was never a fan but shame she couldn't listen to her friends she looked terrible
In the movie "This is 40" Melissa McCarthy calls Leslie Mann "karen carpenter's head". Sorry, Lol.
I used to be very ignorant of Anorexia Nervosa and think it was all in someone’s head. But after watching this and learning how Karen lost her battle with anorexia, it opened my eyes.
Karen was so talented, but don’t disrespect Richard! He was very talented too! He arranged all of the music, and got the songs!
My heart aches for Karen and what all happened... We both share the same birthday with so many other talented people, so I feel this weird connection with her especially since my mom was always playing at least one of her songs while growing up. If I ever am licky enough to find a good woman, i'll be sure to provide her everything that Karen deserved. "Just sing, sing a song"
Unfortunately unwatchable with that blue banner

She never realized how truly SPECIAL she was…..heartbreaking how her insecurities were her downfall 😢
Una buena moneda le habran dado..y los huesos pal terry..Ja!!
They were geniuses
Karen was a month older than my mom , she passed away 13 days before my mom’s birthday. I remember being at my Nan’s house when it came over the News that she passed. I grew up with Karen and Richard’s music , part of a lot of memories. I would sing a long with it when my Dad played those tapes do death . I still listen to the Carpenter’s , it just has a nostalgic feel for me. Her voice was always one of a kind, her range was amazing and just so beautiful.
I felt sad watching this. I don't remember if I saw it when it originally aired, but it was a pretty good overview. I just finished a book about them that was about their music, not personal lives as much. I'm now reading one that focuses on Karen and her eating disorder. I remember when she died. I had never heard of anorexia nervosa until then. Based on the books I've read, it sounds like Karen had issues that could be linked to her mother. She sounds like a harsh woman who wasn't particularly nurturing to Karen. What is interesting is what Richard said in one of the books. He said Karen's voice didn't really come in until later, when it got lower and gave us that distinctive tone we all know and love. Before then, her voice has more ordinary. I noticed it on the clip they played when she was 16 and singing Dancing in the Streets. It was ok, but not remarkable. But just a few years later, it went to WOW! Truly great singer. And Richard was an expert at arranging the songs in a way that showcased Karen's voice. Sometimes I don't think he gets enough credit.
Mother. ya I know .

We all have our demons to fight inside of us and it is so sad that she have lost on her battle with her demons.
One of the "Greatest Singers" in the World!!!
There still my favorite today..
Excelente ha sintetizado❤
I disagree with the guy who said she was the one who put pressure on herself. After reaching that level of stardom, it would automatically cause one to feel like they had to continue to meet the expectations of their fans. Once you're idolized like that, you would have to feel pressure from everyone around you.
We All Have A Responsibility To Never Be A Part To Protect Those Who Are Given Too. Karen Was Beautiful In Everyway As She Was We Can't Put So Much Pressure On Anyone. Karen & Richard Thank You Karen I Love You 😢 Richard Peace
I blame the whole family and those who managed the Carpenters for her death. My God, you could see her weight loss over time on their television appearances that she was sick. Her voice was the money maker and it's sad to say her health wasn't as important
You rarely hear anything about their father, only always about their mother. She seemed very controlling and a worrywart. I don’t wonder about Karen and her issues. I don’t think she could ever please her mother. It’s so sad.
Una geande
Karen Carpenter was A Piscean Celestial, Gold, Metal or White Tigress, because her birthdate was Thursday March 2, 1950.

Anorexia is rarely about weight. It’s about control. Both her mom and Richard controlled her. Then to find out the man she had married was a sterile fraud was too much. I had the privilege to see The Carpenters at Arie Crown Theatre, Chicago, about 1975. Before then I didn’t know she played the drums.

Como se puede ver,Genet odiaba las entrevistas y en todo momento se le ve incómodo.El periodista lo tuvo que pasar muy mal durante la grabación. Muere y está enterrado en Marruecos.
Karen’s voice is a voice of an angel
