Just got my first lith developer (indeed by Moersch) and I can't wait to try it out myself. Good stuff.

I found your channel recently, Thank you for all the knowledge that you are giving.

Came back to this video as I'm about to order my first lith developer and give it a good try. Love the way you print by experience + feel. Much nicer than by stopwatch! I'm only half way there but moving in the right direction ;-)

Actually any silver halide printer, doesn't matter if it's laser. LED.contact print light source or even digital carrier, every morning they should do daily setup print, but not to calibrate the paper, but to calibrate the chemical and the lightsource. Paper calibrated only needed when paper is changed or paper too long inside magazine.

This video is amazing. Bob is a national treasure and it's so generous of him to make sure to pass his skills on. I'll be visiting the gallery next week and I'm so glad I watched this first to better understand what I'll be seeing.

What an excellent piece on the importance of making prints. I love the comment "for every print maker there are 10,000 photographers". So true. And making prints makes anyone a better photographer.

I like Multigrade warmtone. I have never used pmk though. Does it make negatives easier to print than a standard D76 type developer?

are you not worried about the dichromate on your hands while developing and coating?

Is it also better to dry rc prints flat rather than on a wire?

I used to think my 4x5 enlarger was large and cumbersome. I sold all my analogue photo gear soon after buying Dan Burkholder's book on the digital negative in the mid 1990s. It's hard for people with avocations in many fields to afford hobby space like woodworking, metal working and large format photography... something had to give. You are blessed to be able to make a vocation of your photography and have such resources.

Deveere ? I prefer a Durst or a Homrich enlarger on rails for vertical and horizontal print projection plus Scheimplug ad reproduction makihg.

Your Omega enlarger has a triple condensor illumination system. A darkroom with white walls is more comfortable to work in.
