Picked up a 2011 corvette grand sport convertible today!!! It is a 1 owner!! In the car fax it shows the owner did EVERYTHING he was supposed to do as far as when to bring it in and what to get checked or replaced at every time stamp not missing one visit to the Corvette doctor. It is SUPER SONIC BLUE METALLIC which only 236 grand sports came in that color. (Its really not a blue color tone if you ask me. Its more of a light carbon grayish...exterior was appraised at being a 9.4 out of 10, and interior appraised at 9.2 out of 10, with havingall mechanic documents for oil changes fluid checks, etc, and doingeverythingwhen supposed to, chassis trans appraised at a 9.6 out of 10! Guy had a special insurance appraisal done and gave me paperwork. It has 104k on it but as I said above, it's in just as good condition inside outside and mechanically as a 2011 with 20k miles on it seriously. Car is a 30k+ car. I got it for $24k!! Its completely unmolested meaning there is not a single modification done cosmetically or mechanically. It's a perfect great purchase for a Corvette guy like myself. This is my 11th Corvette! I had from 1963 to 2011 and 9 others in between...my last one was a 1997 C5. 2011 grand sport has 430hp. I think all I will do is get the K&N Ram Air intake which gains 22hp and 30 torque. $350 intake giving 22hp and 30 tq. Probably biggest bang for the buck dollar for horse power!! Heck, $5000 header back exhausts dont even give that..freddy header back $5I pipe gives 18-19 hp with a tune.. Lol if I wanted to, there is a tune for $500 I can get with just having a k&n intake that would give me another 48hp or for $750 71hp!! For you guys that want 525 hp in your c6 grand sports or Corvettes in general, k&n ram air intake and a stage 3 tune with race chip it's called will give you 92 horsepower, 525hp total, and cost $1100 total...have fun!!
Haha...I'm actually looking up headlamp covers and gaskets. To replace the ones on the 2011 grand sport I just bought. It's the angels of headlights like this that makes the gaskets in the covers fail so easy in my opinion. Every car I have had that has a certain fitment I can't explain, they all ended up having moisture issues in the lamp...either that or quality control issues with the headlamp cover gaskets..I'm gonna try an aftermarket pair of covers that come with gaskets that cost $100 and see how they fit, or I may just spend the money and get actual Chevrolet Corvette headlight gaskets for 89.99 for pair , take covers off, polish insides and outsides and install new gaskets and put original covers back on cuz there in good shape minus moisture stains...then the next guy can do it again in 8 years lol...

Before you get in this model, be sure the battery is working! If that battery dies while you are inside, be sure you know where the escape switch (cord) is or you won't be able to get out. I know. Oh, and be sure the hard roof is well taped down. It could cost $2000 to replace that roof. I know!
