@@geekbaggers hah...really? Thats soo cool!! I searched for SNT and your videos came up. :) What was your start date? You must have had more midgies than we did.

@hikersheep we started on the Pennine Way actually for about 60 miles first on June 26. The midges were actually really mild because of the breeze. We only got annoyed like twice...they aren't pleasant but we find mosquitos to be worse. The horseflies on the other hand...they were annoying! We were 28 days and 590 miles total. We had a short time though - just off for the summer (teachers).

@@geekbaggersyes i know you guys started down south. Easier logistically. Getting to Kirk Yetholm was complicated. Thats such a late start! Im usually home already around mid June cause I miss Bobo. Hehe! I couldnt figure out what month you started. Im gonna do the Pennine Way by myself next year. Ben doesnt like hiking as much as I di but he will come later to hike some easy trail like The Cotswold Way or something then we go to Wimbledon Tennis in July. Hiking CDT in Montana would be soo nice!! I've never been

@hikersheep the Pennine should be nice! And yes easier logistics for sure. We really loved getting to see your videos before we left. School doesn't let out in Washington State until Mid June so we have to leave later. I'm super stoked about Montana. I've been trying to finish up my triple crown by section hiking the CDT and it feels like it'll take forever :). We want to alternate domestic and foreign though... so the following summer we're thinking about Japan or Bhutan for a summer hike. Ben seemed to hang in there, but too bad he's not as excited about hiking. Glad he'll get to join you for part! It could be cool to have an off trail support system too!

@antonyhosken5717 thanks! Good tip! Really, our biggest navigational challenge was the bealach by Ben More Assynt. I may have also mentioned in the video the challenge of just lumpy, sideways trail with the bog and hidey hole ankle breakers while swatting horseflies, lol 😀. I may start calling it Scottish Ballet!

@@Buszkraftowski also, I was in Poland for Xmas! Had a lovely time in Krakow and Warsaw.

@@geekbaggers I am not sure if we both went wrong at one point and walked an old and forgotten and given up path. There was a crossing to the right (when coming from comrie) just a few meter from 12:35. Maybe this was the official route... 🤔

@@geekbaggers Glad to hear you had a good time in Poland. In the south of Poland are many nice mountain trails. E.g. Góry Sowie, Karkonosze, Świeto Krzyckie or if you like it even more wild Tatra and Bieszczady
