Anne Hathaway may have the most underrated voice in the business. So effortless
How can she be overrated? She won an Oscar for her role in her first big-screen musical. Many people aren't familiar with her singing since most of us know her from acting. Outside of those who saw 'Les Misérables,' many might still not realize she can sing. Most actors are multitalented. I was really impressed with her! It was my first time seeing Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway, and Eddie Redmayne sing. I already knew Samantha Barks and Hugh could sing.!! 🎶

There’s no hate and I’m not blaming you for anything… I’m also guessing you probably don’t know the answer either but I just had that thought so I asked (typed) it out loud.
That was the most boring, insufferable movie I had ever seen- it was painful both to listen and watch. What a waste of talent, time and money. Those close-up shots with plain backgrounds and the constant unnecessary singing (meowing) with long notes from actors who should never sing- OMG. Watch Into the Woods, Rent or Godspell if you want to see a great musical, guys. Not this.

Samantha Barks and Aaron Tveit and are broadway elite. Anne Hathaway is a trained soprano. Amanda Seyfried also has professional training. They were making a movie, not a stage show. It was casted brilliantly.
This person will be amazed to learn the same actors on TV and film are also signing on stage in your musicals.

The beautiful thing about this movie version of the musical is that their singing wasnt done in a studio. It was done on set, in the moment. So the singing may not sound crazy good, but that's because it's raw with emotion and it made it so intimate (at least for me).
*Anne & Hugh are such an impeccable duo! Their voices resonate so well with one another!*
