honestly i think this season has great moments (I love the Maestro very much) but MAN the vibes are just so WRONG

I wouldn't be surprised if Whithouse did actually have Bill killed off in the original script but Moffat edited the script to keep her in it.

The Tenth Doctor's regeneration scene got me in tears, Then I was thrown out of the scene by Matt's first scene, but oh well.

In 2010: man this new dalek story is ok? Could have been better but it’s the third episode in the whole era so surely the dalek stories will get better from here right? I mean they made a new design with limitless potential. Not like they’re going to be scrapped in their second main story. Right?

This and Magician's Apprentice are only the first videos I'm seeing of this guy but I agree with him so wholeheartedly that he's earned a subscriber.

This guy just managed to voice every opinion I have on this episode. I honestly couldn't agree more.

clara wasnt obsessed with the doctor she was obessed with trying to be him and be as smart and clever as him. she didnt care bout life no more cuz danny was gone. thats what lead to her "comupance" (hope i spelt that right)

Was gonna try and sit through this one out of curiosity, but defaulting to the “screaming one’s lungs out over what’s ostensibly a nitpick” style within the 2 minute mark was a turnoff.

Moffit's era of Doctor Who tends to have many of the same issues that Sherlock did (another of his shows). He leans to much into shock and surprise, and needs to have more substance within the stories.

Missy is an unreliable narrator. You have to take everything she says with a grain of salt. she will lie, exaggerate, and misdirect just for her own entertainment.

55:16 puddle girl disappears after using water to kill a dalek bill is sad for some reason then later she gets turned into a cyberman, dies and sees the puddle girl then they fly the tardis to make an unfunny sex joke (i think thats how it happened in her last episode anyway) wow so complex and emotional 😢

Well, the cold opening isn't bad. The suspense isn't "OMG THE DOCTOR IS GOING TO DIE" but "OMG *HOW* IS THE DOCTOR GOING TO DIE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" and that's what keeps you hooked. And, in Twelve's defence, I don't think he ever expressly states that he knows *exactly* how long it's been. Does he know time is moving faster? Yes, he states so himself. But the fact that he asks Cyber!Bill to locate Bill (not knowing she's been Cyberised) indicates that he, at least, believes it has only been a few years and that Bill won't be that much older - 2 or 3 years, perhaps? But certainly *not* ten years. Only *we* learn it has been (at least) ten years at this point. Although, he has to be there for more than 10 minutes explaining things; according to the TV Tropes page - so take it with a pinch of salt - 10 minutes for The Doctor is 2.84 years for Bill. So, if that's true, the Doctor must have been explaining for 36.7 minutes (every ten minutes is 2.84 years) - so that's 30 minutes to make 8.52 years, plus another 6.7 minutes to give us the remaining 1.48 years (since 10 divided by the remaining 1.48 gets us 6.75675675676). As for the Master starting the Cybermen off, I believe the implication is that he planted the *idea* of the upgrading and the humans, suffering down below, ran with it after they overthrew him. There's *also* the implication that both the Doctor converting people and Nurse know *exactly* who he is under the disguise and are in on it because they're sadists and couldn't resist the chance to torture people. And humanity won't resist because they're suffering, so it doesn't matter. As for Bill? I think it was both his plan and not - he didn't *intend* to use her; he couldn't have known she was there until *she actually arrived in the operating theatre*. But once he worked it out, he couldn't resist.

Easily one of the best episodes of Series 10

The "luxury of outrage" line doesn't really bother me to be honest. The choice of wording could have perhaps been better but it's clear to me the point of it isn't the Doctor never gets outraged, it's more alluding to his ability to act cold and detached, which is a consistent character trait of the Doctor and of Capaldi's incarnation in particular. Mummy on the Orient Express is one such example

I think with the outrage line, he’s never had the time for it, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t dabbled in it. Every time he’s outraged, hes wasting time getting angry, instead of accepting the situation and moving on.

Why don’t you consider big finish canon?

31:30 - it does make sense, he's the Master. The Master is fundamentally evil, Missy's "redemption" was never going to stick. I get being upset about that but still. It's just how it goes. Plus I think one can argue what he discovered made him go mad which is why he is the way he is now.

I quite liked this episode. Ending was kinda crap though.

On Twelves outfit, I really disliked his original series 8 one. It was just so bland and uninteresting visually, so I liked how they played around with it. Tbh I really quite like his more casual outfits, mostly as it gives lazy morons like me an easy out for a Capaldi costume, but also it fits the “don’t give a **** what anyone thinks of me” part of his character. But I do agree that his Burgundy red suit is by far the best. It’s far more flare-ish and interesting, especially with the velvet.

This episode is so shit it didn't even have the opening titles! Btw, it is so much better than timeless child though

Absolutely AWFUL episode, genuinely not canon in my head. But see to be fair, as someone who’s a youth worker, I have to disagree. Young people can absolutely take comments like that to heart. Maybe her household is emotionally absent, or worse, hence why she’s a troubled teenager, and takes what The Doctor says personally. Now, I’m not saying the episode uses this logic, it absolutely doesn’t. Everything from top to bottom of this episode is mindless and style over substance. But the premise itself is…realistic. Your video was very entertaining by the way 👍🏻

An incredible two parter. Toby Whithouse should definately be showrunner. If he was after Moffat left, Series 11,12 and 13 could have been brilliant.

Alternate title: A hodgepodge of stories you have already seen before with a shitty writer.

The way the Doctor keeping a low profile arc from the beginning of series 7 just gets dropped and forgotten about is very frustrating
