Schneider Electric XW Pro with EG4 batteries and 16 REC 370 panels
this is my hybrid solar system that is connected to the grid but does not yet do reselling. It runs my whole home with a 4 ton central AC, a 1 ton heat pump for cooling the garage, and a half ton window unit for cooling the inverter a d batteries in the shed. I stress tested a d my Schneider Electric XW Pro can run 12kw for longer than they claimed. When heating up the oven and running all AC units and the coffee pot, I can pull 12kw for maybe 10 to 30 minutes, which is extremely good. I love my Schneider inverter.
Note: I only get 50% to 70% of my energy from sun; I added more ACs to my house at the same time that I got solar so the offset is smaller. I added a 1 ton heat pump to my garage and a 1/5 ton window unit to my shed to keep the batteries and inverter cool or warm. So I am pulling about 1/4 more energy than when I started the project but I have my food storage in the garage temperature controlled.

Quesstion: When the Schneider is set to use the generator input, can you power the house AND charge the batteries at the same time?

Could you please share inverter settings for EG4 battery?

Yeah, transformer-based inverters are way to go. I notice you also have Sigineer Power inverter. Was looking at this very model just yesterday. Awesome!

It is, by far, the best.

A diagram / picture is worth a lot when you are showing how things are connected together with wires. You should show a logical view and a physical view. I think it would help, especially when you don’t know your audience.

Good idea- I will have to do that! But I am moving to another video platform.

Nice setup. I need to go through some things with you soon with the XW Pro/EG4, tie line, generator, pv setup. I like this combo alot.

I just survived throught the storm that hit houston and had power almost the entire time thanks to the Schneider and EG4 setup even though I underspeced the system. But my generator was the weak link. I recommend starting with a good generator that has less that 5% THD and then building up the solar system. At the end of the day-if you do not have a massive system you will still need a generator. The difference is I only needed my gerneator part of the time. When it was sunny I was good.

I can do consulting work cheap and save you a ton of money. If interested contact me on LinkedIn. I am a Cybersecurity and AI pro but I also have done two complete systems from scratch myself and know how to avoid issues and fake sales promises.
