This scene showed a nice transition of why Obi wan was not as agile in ANH. Not that he had to be since he intentionally wanted to be turned to a force ghost.
I came here to pay my respects. James Earl Jones was the perfect voice for Darth Vader. His timing and delivery were absolute perfection. He put 100% effort into every line and it just made Darth Vader that much more terrifying. RIP James Earl Jones and may the Force be with you.
Vader saying to Kenobi he should had killed him when he had the chance was Vader's indirect way of saying that he would rather have died than having to spend the rest of his life in his famous suit and imprisoned behind his infamous mask.
I still can't figure out why people hate the new lightsaber fights so much. Like yes, the sequels are bad, and say what you want about the Obi-Wan show, but the original trilogy fights are a lot like these. Yeah, maybe a LITTLE faster, but just because the duels aren't full of flashy flips, twirls and spins doesn't mean they're awfully choreographed. Especially because it makes for more realistic sword-fighting. Lightsabers aren't weightless, and they were never supposed to be
This was the Vader we hoped for when we got a glimpse of it at the end of Rogue One. Unrelenting, a nightmarish machine, consumed by darkness and with only the notion of destroying anything in his path including his old master.
If i had a nickel for every time a Sith Lord survived near death conditions because of his singular hate for Obi Wan, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, its just weird that its happened twice
"You should have killed me when you had the chance!" That's not him JUST bragging about how little the chances of killing him are, that's him basically saying "No really, I f*cking hate my life. Please end me at the next possible opportunity!"
The shaky cam effect is driving me insane. I notice it every scene and it is distracting me from the scene to be 100% honest. Why can't they hold the fucking camera straight for crying out loud!?
Sure, its cool seeing these 2 interact again post-ROS, but I feel like the "magic" is just gone now... It doesn't feel like a space opera anymore, with the shakey-cam and lack of wideshots. The grandness of the story just isn't there anymore especially when they let the 2 of these characters at the backseat in Obi-Wan's own series and squeeze in Leia and the Inquisitors.
I try, I swear I try to see this scene as much epic as it could, but it doesn't work, feels cheap, lazy writting maybe. The camera angles doesn't fit well with the evironment and Vader's dialogue is too much predictable for the audience. It may be give more vibes of a Hunter, but that doesn't work pretty well for me, that's why so many people didn't like the droid carrying Obi Wan while Vader, standing right there does nothing and looses his trail at the next chapter. And well, stormtropers are just a bad joke
Though the show is mid as hell, I personally enjoy this scene between Obi-wan and Vader. Just seeing him coming out of the dark and simply strolling along while Obi-wan is on his toes constantly is amazing, and I think this is one of the few time I can praise the lighting, as it compliments this scene greatly.
This confrontation was well done. When Obi-wan saw Vader, "What have you become?" came to my mind before Ewan said the words. That is just good writing. And the moment Vader lights the crystals, my jaw dropped. We had never seen Alec Guinness under his robe, but we know he does move slow for the 19 years he spent on Tattooine. I also appreciate that this is fully Vader, and not Anakin's desperate attempt. Vader is in full control, giving Obi-wan all reason to think Anakin is just gone.
The pain that Obi-Wan Kenobi had felt when Vader had burned him in the fire and had said that his own pain had just begun gave me the chills! Yikes!! 🥶 🤯

4:10 Couldn't he had just used the force to bring Obi-Wan to him? Didn't need the troopers to do so.
Stupid. Why the fuck does vader stop the fire, unlikly he would do that with all his rage
He let him go, he wanted to fight a stronger advanced Obi-Wan. Too easy, he knew he’d find him again anyways…
*This show may have fumble, but one thing it excelled at was making Darth Vader more terrifying than ever... Which is already a high bar to reach* 😨

Anyone else here after hearing about James earl Jones
Came here right after hearing the news. Rest in Peace, James Earl Jones.
Who’s here after hearing the news about the passing of James Earl Jones?😢 RIP TO THE LEGEND

3:37 honestly it's kind of Justified. XD
This is the season finale we all deserved, without all the additional episodes after it
3:38 Obi-wan Kenobi is like Superman.

Why is the sabers so small are they 5 years old

You can hate the show but you can't deny the amazing moments like this
This is the first time he turns on his lightsaber in the show. Out of panic. He’s in the dark and needs his light.
That moment when Vader drags Obi-wan through the flames all I could say was “oh, there’s the petty Anakin I remember”
If i had a nickel for every time a Sith Lord survived near death conditions because of his singular hate for Obi Wan, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, its just weird that its happened twice
I thought Obi was was a good Jedi

This stuff is better than the three sequels.

3:26 Who needs a match when your lightsaber can set oil on fire
I’ll never understand why they added sparks to lightsaber clashes. Sparks are bits of hot metal; what are these sparks??
have you become

With all the new Star Wars content being soo boring and stretched out, is making this scene and show look better and better.
Brave Kenobi ran away, bravely ran away away When Vader rears his ugly head, he bravely turned away and fled Bravest of the brave! Kenobi!
