I would just add that the crime in California is really bad. Lots of homelessness, mental sickness, and drugs and these types wander into places like Santa Monica and bring down the quality of life. Time made my memories rosy but there is definitely a downside for sure.

I miss the videos of the lovely walking tours around Bucharest and it would have been nice to see the scene in the Old Town in the high summer, for example. Of course, I know it's been extremely hot there recently so maybe not easy for you to go filming in such weather.
