That's a cold start ahah
We are unfortunately gonna have to wait longer in the valley after it melts over the next few days...😬
Cool!
Sounds great man!
What date is this filmed ?
I hate to ask but the wife has never caught a trout, we don't know the area well and would love some advice as to where we can go to catch some. We're a bit older so would like not have to walk too far.
What Zone?
We live near Pembroke ontario
@@michaelrasewych9348what i usually do is use fish on line along with BRMB maps you can get the app or if you rather the book you can get it to and it will show you all the lakes trails crown and everything you could possibly need! Also get the reg book and have a peek through it see ware you can fish and what you need to do to fish there kinda deal some lakes are different than others and every zone is different.
@lifeinthevalley14 thank you very much, what is BRMB?
@ it’s the back road map book they have been around for years you can get it in a app on your phone now or still get the paper book too if you rather that route.
That's dedication, I got all the gear ready woke and said nope. Next weekend will be really nice. Hoping to try a big rainbow lake. Need a new PB, measurements and pictures. Just got the 48 inch musky back, never doing a fish that size again. Great video and tight lines, keep it up.
Did u guys mark that hole u cut?
watch (listen) at @3:45 ish
Can you add twine to the bow with glue and varnish? Would that help strengthen up the bow?
@@gbltheolechurch5acrehomestead you can back it with fiberglass or leather or something like that but it affects your tiller of the bow.
Excellent Step-by-step showing the process and progress! I just Subbed!
Like 7 here from Mr. Garry at The Ole Church 5 Acre Homestead! Making Bows seems like an interesting hobby!
Nice! You should probably switch to using feather-like fletchings with these type of bows, because the ones you're using throw it off a bit when you shoot
Nice. Had my 14' fully refurbished just at the end of the season up in Northbay. Great workmanship, man, on the yoke and paddles. Great people at Ottawa Valley, very down to earth.
Omg, is the internet just full of all these people complaining that have no clue about regulations and zones. Jesus. Try getting outside like these young lads and enjoy life.
Very cool explanation! I would probably break it way before the tailoring part lol
@@RemsFamily definitely a skill but slowly learning!
first :)
Roeslers again ffs
I'm guessing Ottawa Valley😊
Probably Roeslers ffs
Good luck catching fish with those minnows!!! Are You in The Loraine Valley?
@@brucemacdonald1847 been using them for years nothing wrong with them and no we’re not
@@lifeinthevalley14 I know there's nothing wrong with those minnows, they aare perfect . Was just wishing You good luck fishing!!!!
That looked to be Tea…. Maybe?
Not 100% why the silver out catch the blacks… I was so pissed off earlier this fall I went and got 2 more silver just to get ready for winter
I was out on some ice here in the Valley and had 3 1/2 of decent ice…. Where about are ya?
Without giving location, approx where are you on ice? I was out today checking around and found 3 1/2 (east On also)
This is illegal in New York
What area are you in
Friggin rights bud not bad im waiting for the marina to freeze up in Pembroke and im hitting it for some pike
let the stockers grow
I’d recommend a floater suit and picks in early conditions, buddy system too. Live to fish another day!
No fish is worth it when you fall through and nobody to help you.
Trout opens Jan.1, what day was this?
@@SteveStevens-h4v may want to have a peek at your regs lots of lakes open all year round 😉
I live in ontario and the old saying goes. 2 inches good for 1 person 3 inches good for 2 people 4 inches good for party. Should be black ice tho. Cheers.
That ice sure looked thin. No idea thought because I don't ice fish.
Lakes freeze over yet? I'll be going to check this weekend. :)
@@GIJOE-l2o some but only about a 1/2” skim with the wind and all this snow is going to wreck it unfortunately and then starting Sunday all warm again looks probably like a few more weeks yet unfortunately going out Brookie fishing open water Saturday with the canoe…
@@lifeinthevalley14 They were biting a few months ago when I went, week before 2nd week of deer riffle season. Keep us poster if you catch any and tight lines.
I want to get training
😂
Picking up nuggets of info about the canoe - good to know the wide stern is more stable.
What prop do you use? im having trouble finding something faster for my 25hp, i have a 15P that doesnt seem quite enough, but all i can find past that is a 3 blade 18P chopper thats 10 3/8 diameter, which seems too large, what else fits this thing? also it sounds like yours turns higher RPM than mine, did you mod it?
There I had a 2 blade quicksilver 15p I have worked on there off the mark 50s they work with a bit of tinkering.
@@lifeinthevalley14 just a 15P go you to 56mph?!? im only getting 32mph with a 13p,i wonder whats wrong with my setup
@@airgunny7416 boats 50 pounds also hull designs make a big difference along with engine hight also I am running around 6750rpm work your props or send them out to get done my 15p is probably closer to a 18-19p you can slap a Prop on a boat it will work but need to fine tune them if your looking for performance also 2 blades are faster than 3 blades.
Leave some for the woodpeckers and owls !
@@MyKharli they have a 2000 acre reserve behind us to go to don’t have to be on our property.
Hi, it would be helpful to list the apps and websites you reference in your video.
@@mauricepoulin4841 I’m still trying to figure out how to do that kind of stuff
What a shameful disgrace to such a beautiful car…Two thumbs down.
@@JackieKraft 🤣each is there own✌️
Ok, The wife says I am mean… Soooo, cool man, Two thumbs up😊
Sorry bubby if that's a 283 it's a small block chevy. Ford made the 289.
@@robbiehively4056 it’s a 289 had gm on the mind
@@lifeinthevalley14 lol it's no biggie everyone has brain farts. I know I do lol. But that is a badass Camaro build. I bought a 1969 c-10 almost 2 years ago I've been slowly restoring all the cosmetics. It came with a 327 v8, 600 edelbrock 4barrel, 400turbo trans, 411 posi rear end, 3" duel exhaust. It runs like a scalded dog just looks like a primer rusty junk truck lol.
@@robbiehively4056 sounds like a fun rig!
@@lifeinthevalley14 yea it's fun to cruise back roads in. Definitely can set at any stop lights or stop signs for long. Found out in McDonald's drive thru that if I'm setting at idle it tends to load up or flood out. I'm not quite sure why it does it. Might just need the timing advanced lol. My buddies all want me to video everything I'm doing to it but I'm not one for videoing myself and my projects. But I certainly enjoy watching them. Lol. Especially when it's a c10 project, get me some inspiration lol.
that boat is awesome
I think you mean 289, not 283. Neat car.
Thanks for introducing me to "backroadmapbooks". Besides the bare-bones app and paid subscriptions, I like that they sell pdf files on the website.
Nice. It's so nice launching where trucks/trailers can't. (I adapted a trolling motor to my 10' sit-on-top kayak for fishing.)
Thomas are you seriously selling it
they are far enough away you dont own the land
@@BobNob1 if 2 foot is far away for you your part of the issue and should not leave your house…
As a fellow crown land camper, I have had my peace interrupted by drunken idiots. Glad you guys took the high road and re-found your happy place.
That sure sucks, it is main reason I want to head into bush where the town campers don't go. Sorry for your trouble but you definatley handled it like a pro.
Worth a sub. Looking forward to checking out your past and future videos. What area of ontario are you in? You don't have to answer if you don't want to.
