Stamping D&D on cookbooks just feels like a shameless money grab to me. Kudos to those who enjoy it but count me out.

I have King of Tokyo but it doesn’t get a lot of play. I just got KoT Duel for Xmas so hopefully that works out better.

While this might be the "better" game, I still prefer KoT over this. Something slowed down in the Yahtzee.

This reminds me of a version that involves Godzilla. A lot of fun, but it had its tricks.

I like King of NY, but I think I prefer King of Tokyo a little more.

I’ve seen the cookbooks, but never the drink book. Neat. Not for me because I don’t drink alcohol, but this is perfect for the right person.

I think d&d is "watering down" the IP with all these licenses 🤣

That is an interesting book

That is NOT a beginner home bar book. Most of those recipes (in the first 12 minutes) need a rare ingredient, or several that you'll never use in anything else. A beginner bar book would get you making several different drinks from the same few ingredients or with simple adds like OJ or cream.

I also borrowed this game. Played the heck out of it. Never made the collection because my wife doesn’t really like abstract strategy. Still, a great game.

Thank you for the flip-through! This definitely seems like a book I’d enjoy and would love to add to my collection. It was a bit disappointing to see that, despite referencing classic D&D, WOTC once again chose to omit Athas/Dark Sun setting. Mentioning to other classics like Blackmoor or Hollow World would have been a wonderful touch as well.

It is a pretty game, but your choices are simple. But for such a simple game, the rulebook for Tsuro of the Seas is not good.

If only my playgroups didn't currently want faster games!

You’re meant to draw a treasure for each legion devil. The only thing you don’t get is the xp until they’re all defeated.

You decided not to take your own advice from the previous video and swap a character to Roland? Could you use some dice to keep track of all modifiers? As new cards come into play, increment the die. Then for combat, look at the die showing the total modifier.

I like how a lot of libraries do this now! That being said, I would be careful about taking out any switch games -- long reason as to exactly how it can but the TLDR is that used games can lock your switch if someone makes a copy from the same cart.

I'm from MD. Our libraries in Baltimore have those video games but not sure about actual board games besides D&D

I've seen libraries with board games, but not yet video games. Makes sense though, sorta. I guess I'd wish libraries emphasized the non-digital world, like books.

This game reminds me of Minesweeper.

Space is a big issue but thought about getting the dark edition as I saw it for 75% off. Glad I waited since everything (mechanically) can be bought separately (or for anyone new, it's in the big box)!
