Polecat Training Center lap
Not my cleanest but the only clear full lap I ran video for. This is hands-down the most fun track for drifting I’ve ever gotten to drive.

Do you have some thread about build or something like it? This is cool!
@@golfmk216D I have some photos in my IG @icantdrift but you’ll have to scroll a long way back because the car has been done and ripping for 4 years.
Man! this is awesome!
Awesome! I always wanted RWD Golf, do you have some thread of your build?
🔥🔥
That trail kicked my ass last year. One of the "piddles" ate my bike. LOL
You make this look so easy. Awesome job all around!
It is easy, anyone can do it.
YES.
Remember to like and subscribe 😂
Sounds beautiful and damn she moves!
Thanks! Just wish it had held up longer so I could've actually gotten up to speed and done some actual testing.
hard to believe it's been more than 10 years eh. life sure speeds along.
What was this telemetry display done with?
SNapperMx it's all done through the AiM datalogger and bullet cams
Erin Sanford cool thanks for the info!
Photo: www.adrianstanescu.com I can sell you the high res copy of the photo if you would like. Contact me through the contact page on my site and I'll get back to you as soon as possible if you are interested.
Shit Chyeah!
Oh and I was going to stop by and say hi before the end of the weekend but had to leave in a hurry on Sunday. I'll be sure to come say hi next time I see you out there.
Thanks! I enjoyed chasing you guys around even though I know you were taking it easy on me ;). I was out there last year with less power and tire under the car, those two things really helped a lot. At this point I need to up my spring rates for the Hoosiers as the current setup is quite soft for that level of grip. I'll be back next year for sure since Mark puts on such a good event.
Your car ran great. It was a coincidence but my buddy( in the Michelin Viper) and I (in blk/blueViper) were watching track videos tonight and we both agreed that your was definitely a lot more than we expected. You drove your car to the limits... I looked in my mirror and there you were.... Hope we can do it again... A friend had my car wired with 3-5 cameras. I'll get back to you with any good videos of your car
LOL, camera mount fun.
Perhaps the only LS1 240sx on the net that's gets driven on the track. I'm thinking about doing the same thing. A 240SX at 2800 pounds will have the same power to weight ratio with a 530hp crate engine as a Corvette ZR1.
awesome stuff, such a great track. nice driving too mate
best swap ever some people think its rediculous but the chevy ls1 is one of the best swap engines there is, reliable, has power, good fuel economy, and affordable, you can get a jdm turbo engine which costs alot and is difficult to work with or you can get one of these beasts
The camera was mounted to a suction mount on the flattest part of the wing, closer to the front edge. The only way to minimize vibration would be use a sturdier mount for the camera and chassis mount the wing with stiffer mounts. It's on my list of possible winter changes.
@TheDirtyGoatee It tends to catch people off guard. Fairly lightweight Japanese chassis with healthy torque curve and high reliability of the V8 makes for a pretty solid combo for a track car.
@icantdrift I bet folks were like "What the hell man, why is that 240 so f*cking fast?!"
@TheDirtyGoatee It's an S13 240sx coupe with an LS1 V8 out of a Trans-Am WS6. No turbo, just drivetrain noise that you're likely hearing due to the solid subframe bushings.
What car is this? Besides all the wind noise I think I hear a turbo spooling. Sounds mean whatever it is.
awesome!
nice drifting man, mad shit
it only makes the car better. after all, this isn't some old heavy iron block/head smallblock from the 70's-80's.
wow, looked like a fun day at the track. is that a KA-T I hear?
awsome car and drive dude... i drive a s13, and im loking for mounts messures to do it myself, gonna do a ls1 swap, but dont have the money to buy a kit, can you help me..?
good driving!. Get those sticker sout of ur front windw!
the basics: ls1/t56, i built everything in the car other than the engine itself. Tein HE coilovers, 9k/7k springs i believe, various adjustable suspension arms. 18x9.5 +15 MB Battle wheels with 225/45 and 245/40 Nitto NT-01 tires. diff is a kaaz 2 way. brakes are z32 front calipers with 350z brembo 13" rotors and adapters with HP+ pads, rears are z32 calipers/rotors. the car's rough weight without me in it is about 2250 currently.
a full rundown of your mods list would be AWESOME..suspension (spring rates, ect ect, wheel tire combo sizes, diff, did you get a kit to install the LS1? Nice video, and good driving for a 2nd track day!
a roadworthy car, an approved helmet, and enough cash for entry fee. roll cages are not required, and i don't have one in my car at the moment. i am just running a harness bar and 4 point harnesses, but stock seatbelts are also fine for DE events like these. the restraints must be the same for you and your instructor though, so if you want to install a harness on the driver's side one must also be on the passenger's side. cost for the two day event was $415.
What is needed to drive at Road Atlanta? I have 240x which is my daily driver with an rb20det, track driving looks like fun but I have no idea how to even get into it. Do you have to have a roll cage or a modified restraint system? Whats it cost? Thanks
nice bro!
Phat 13 bro
dude thats pretty damn cool...
dude, u need to use the e-brake for the car to slide without moving towards the corner.
yo nice
You owned that entry.
lol the shadow for the ad on the window is fun to watch
no.
no worries. i got out of the car fine and laughed about it afterward. it was a small fire but the hose that was melting was dripping under the car, i'm glad the announcer noticed it because i never would've known the difference in the smoke until i was done with the run or it was too late.
i feel bad that ur car caught fire
Do you have any pics of the car anywhere? I would love to see more!
383 is generally a pretty good motor but beyond that i can't tell you much, i don't have any hands on experience with one. i'm plenty happy with my stock 346. today on the dyno it put down 355whp/345tq with stock exhaust manifolds and very little tuning. good luck with your project.
yeah that makes sence well i go to wyotech rite now for custom chassie fabrication and high performance power trans so i will let you know how it turns out i can assure you that if i go thru with it it will be turbo the lt1 is bieng rebuiult i want to bore it and stroke it to 383 what do you think? well let me know man cuz u seem like the dude to talk to because youve got a nasty car i give you props
common sense says it would be faster. take that 94 z28 and shave off 600+lbs of weight and that's how the 240 would feel with the same motor setup. cost? i have no clue, it can vary greatly depending on your level of fabrication skill and access to parts.
hey man what do you think about a 93 with an lt1 will it still be as fast or faster as when it was in my 94 z28 ? and what where you looking at as far as cost figures would greatly appreciate feedback
not too bad but it's not a swap just anyone can pull off.
