Very nice piece, mellow, soothing and reflective. I like the way you used the theme throughout and ended with the piano. Composers are lucky today to have software that can play compositions with wonderfully sampled instruments. In the past the only time a composer heard his music was when it was performed. (Unless you have a brain like Beethoven)

Gorgeous Holland, as always! I loved the oboe solos as you mentioned, especially how you expanded on the piano solo with the strings and pizzicato basses in the first one. I loved how the climax got more dissonant, creating a moment of grand tension that was released in a reprise of the opening, which was gorgeous and I think fits the theme of nightfall very well!

This is so lovely Holland! Love the harmonic directions throughout. Very magical how you had the horn following the violins at rehearsal B, and then woodwinds and glockenspiel the second time - and then the horns and violins team up at rehearsal C! Never do the same thing twice. Lovely second violin and viola string writing combining the woodwinds' flourish with it, I found that very inspired!

this makes me feel like I'm in some sort of, I don't know, like a "dimly-lit woodsy labyrinth" or something
