It's an Otis because of the inspection cartop station. They got rid of the Ophian font. That font was actually nice, but I like this one better than the older one.

I’m surprised the parking elevators don’t speak in English and French as you all know most elevators in Ottawa do. Did you film the office tower elevators that go up to the 19th floor? Those ones have the floor indicators that look like the ones at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

Let me guess, did you film the amazing Elevonic 401s (E401s) in any of the towers Place De Ville? These modded the former Lexans from the early 1970s.

Glad to see these are still original. I went back there about a year ago and got a good video of these. They seem to run VERY well for how old they are. There is also a low rise black button in the building as well. did you see that one?

The shuffel button is there due to the fact that ajustments are some times performed to maximise the flow of elevator trafick givin that these are double deck shafts.

The speed on these elevators are a bit slow

Glad I caught these just before their cabs started getting redone. Seems like the mod is about to be done as of late 2023. These were still modded by Otis, not ThyssenKrupp (TKE). You said TKE at the beginning. That’s why I’m saying what these were modded by.

Just an update... I went by this building earlier, and yes there is another freight besides this one and the one on the parking lot side. It actually opens up in that same back alley way as this one, and I'm guessing that it is mostly used by Homesense for deliveries and trash. It does look to be considerably smaller.

To clarify your questioning in the video about whether the elevator is a thyssenkrupp or a northern, it's actually both. By the looks of it, TK did the install and the panels are from Niagara/Northern, so it's a 2-in-1. Also happy thanksgiving!

As for what kind of elevator this is, it appears to be an ESCO (probably not related to the US elevator company with the same name). It stands for "Elevator Specialty COmpany". The name is on the gate at the beginning. Ive seen this name on a few elevators in Toronto, including another one on the south side of King Street right near this place.

I’m glad we filmed these when we did as apparently the property hates photographers and has detained them in the past according to Evan.

Like the south tower, these are still the oridginal state but they fixed the chime on p4! great news for this time.

I came there one day last year trying to get in that building and the doors were locked when I went there in the afternoon. I’ll have to try again soon
