Don't listen to him, offset WILL ALWAYS be a preference thing, and just changes the input of your hits. This can be very good or very bad, but if you don't know how early or late your hitting the notes, start with -5 or +5 offset. ​-40 is too much of a change if you're unaware how late you're hitting the notes. Also only make it negative if you hit the notes too late and make it positive if you're hitting the notes too early. You can gauge this by looking at your accuracy gauge (disable the underlay because it's behind it, the devs will update it in the New Engine Update)@@Gymnastboy328

​Don't listen to him, ONLY change your offset if you know you're hitting the notes too early or too late. Negative offset is if you hit the notes too late and positive us if you hit them too early. I personally keep it at zero. But you can start between positive five and negative five if you're unsure what to change it to.
