Freight Trains Aug 23 2024
Nothing special - just a couple of freight trains I came across while driving on Friday, 08/23.

2022 Labor Day Fireworks

The Nuremberg Labor Day Celebration always wraps up with a nice fireworks show. This year I was able to capture footage with a drone. Also at the end check out some of nature's fireworks and a landing light I didn't even know the drone was equipped with!

Brings back memories of my childhood, dad had a ‘78-‘79 Fairmont wagon with the inline 6. Wasn’t the fastest car but was built well, even survived the blizzard of ‘96 on the road. Never got a chance to drive it unfortunately
My first car was a stock Fairmont with the 3 speed auto transmission and inline 6. It wasnt fast and rusty but ran decent
In the early 90s I had a 78 or 79 Mercury Zephyr. Had a 302 in it. Ran great because someone replaced the VV carb with a Holley. Unfortunately, it wouldn't pass smog.
About the same as a base model Camry from the early 2000’s
Holy cow this makes my 1975 granada look like a hot rod! th-cam.com/video/nqPqFAaQZ2Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5PM-CH5uN-qZQWZU
My grandpa had the same car in Apricot!
Floor it.
I remember babysitting for a very religious family when I was about 12 years old. They took me with them to a church so I could sit with their kids while they performed in a concert there. I remember riding in their silver Fairmont and thinking to myself, jeez…this car is slow.
My aunt had a 6 cylinder that did not like to start in the cold. The rest of my family had 4 cylinder stick shifts and I don’t remember them telling me they had any trouble.
Sweet
You gotta ask yourself one question... how many good cars has China ever made?
typical Chinese rubbish
Awesome!
Sweet. GTA V - Forza Horizon 5 and NFS Heat style
6 Second REALLY 🤨😂
That's what she said
Nice one! Looks epic on the over-rev. Must have a strong vacuum pulling some extra fuel through.
Wtf?
Sweet......❤❤❤❤
Is it good thing or a bad thing? It looks dope......but im worried of the flame...
unburnt fuel in the exhaust. it will ruin a cat converter unless he doesn't have one
As luck would have it, I don't! Actually just needed to lean out the carb some and that cured the issue. Just had a hell of a good laugh with the gunshot-like reverbs!
We doggie
I blew the horn on that unit today lol
Thank you for posting this video! I remember when the Fairmont Futura was brand new! The Ford Fairmont series were good cars. Fairly priced. Reasonably stylish. Dependable. And EASY to repair. I had both a 1984 and a 1988 Mercury Cougar. Mechanically they are not very different from the Ford Fairmont. I especially loved my 1984 Mercury with the 3.8 L V6. I didn’t like my 1988 Mercury quite as much. It had the 5.0 L V8. If I could find a low mileage 1984 Cougar in reasonably good condition I would buy it and drive it daily. My current daily driver is a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado. It’s a rock solid dependable car. Currently it has about 45,000 miles on it. When I buy a car I usually keep it a very long time. I’m very leery of new cars and I don’t want an electric car or a hybrid. I want I car that I can work on. I don’t want to have to take it to the dealer for service. For work I don’t choose to do myself I have a family owned auto repair service that I’ve been using for 40 years. They are very experienced with the older cars that I drive.
I saw the eagles once at this place And something amazing happened one of them was communicating with a third bald eagle outside the enclosure
Are you out of fuel, or is the fuel gauge not working? I’m surprised that you didn’t set the choke before you tried to start it. With no disrespect to anyone, it does not take this many attempts to start a vehicle. I bet your carburetor needs serviced…
beautiful ❤
beautiful ❤trucks and good machine very useful make human life happy God bless you
beautiful ❤
I go to that museum quite a bit. It's awesome the museum is finally showing what the locomotives can truly do instead of running them like conventional locomotives with the smoke off. I mean that's nice an all but that gets kinda boring after a while. To see them finally showing the locomotives true potential and actually have the smoke on is awesome.
Is there another way?
Stewards of the past
UP SD70ACe sounding like a K5LLA and K3LA at the same time. Wth?
Been sat for a while then, my 78 sounds like that when it’s been stood for a week
Seems like its faster than my 1981 Buick Century with the good ol' 231 v6 and THM-350-c threespeed. I got 0-60 in 27 seconds back in 2020 before I rebuilt the carb
Too much drone footage can't make anything out at 500 feet
Yes, but you can see the awesome expanse and girth of this show!
B61 but looks 1 ton swapped great way to make it a daily driver and still have the look
very nice, thank you.
nice
2:41 what company does that truck on the left come from
Thats a Marmon
I counted 4 Marmon's
Love the old iron and old glory at the end
Why the soundtrack?
At least you know how to start yours! It started on the first crank, which a car is supposed to do. There’s some out there that need an “education” on how to start a carbureted engine, for some of them need several attempts to start their cars, which lies in operator error..
I imagine you depress the gas pedal once to set the choke. And then turn the key. But maybe it has an electric choke and there’s no need to depress the gas pedal? If it doesn’t fire right up, then possibly depress the gas pedal twice next time. That way the accelerator pump will shoot a little bit of fuel into the intake manifold for an easier cold start. I’d guess that if it’s warm out, or if the engine is warm, then don’t touch the gas pedal and simply turn the key. If anyone disagrees, don’t be afraid to speak up! I have not driven a carbureted car since the mid 1980s.
@@CH67guy1You still have to hit the gas a couple times. Some folks don’t know how to start a carbureted engine, and it doesn’t take several times to get a carbureted engine to start as long as the car’s service is kept up. I think there’s more “operator error;” I told some guys this once, and I say it with no disrespect to anyone: a car will let any fool, idiot, or joker operate it or work on it, and you’ve got to be smarter than what you’re operating sometimes. I told this to some guys in a meeting, and while it was the truth, they didn’t like it..
Hi
Hey Tom: any idea what the buzzer is once you turn the key on? Mine seems to start better if I wait for the buzzer to go off. I know there’s no electric fuel pump to prime so that can’t be it lol
Yes, that’s the seat belt buzzer. I didn’t fasten it for the cold start ... ;-)
Like the train ride
What horn is that?
It's a C-5A-CWP
What a terrible horn
That train has the ability to go Long Hood Forward.
Great catch!! Just subscribed!
nice
The Fairmont was NOT happy! But you got all three beautiful cars going - nice job in maintaining them! "Russian Sailor's Dance" by Gliere on the 8-track - I played the trombone in high school, and I had a lot of fun in orchestra with that one!
