I don't think being cold particulary pertains to hating God, it could also mean really not having a knowledge of who God is at all and this also leads me to these passages in 2 Peter 2:20-21, 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them Seemed like it's supporting the interpretation we first thought was wrong. I would appreciate a reply thank you. 🙂

That’s literally your interpretation. In no form or fashion is it trying to “stop” anything. It says in clear English.. an eye for an eye or a tooth for a tooth, which in layman’s terms means.. if someone takes your tooth, you take theirs.. you’re talking about someone punching you in the face or stealing your donkey (which meant a lot back then to folks) then you’d just say well atleast they didn’t do it a second time.. BS you’d be mad and want to retaliate if someone punched you, your wife, your mom etc or stole your car.. you wouldn’t give them the car, go and buy another and hope they changed their ways and wouldn’t steal your new/other car

I was once totally against God to the point of demonic possession to work with Satan against God, attempted suicide so i could prove God isn't as loving as He claims to be that He would give me the punishment in hell that i deserve, and attempted suicide multiple times. Yet God had overridden the logic of what would easily have killed any human to let me live to save me. After showing His grace, love and mercy, i had become persuade that He actually wasn't what i thought He was from what the demons had convinced to believe He was. After some time i was saved. I became on fire for God, Totally for Him and against Satan as if it all backfired against Satan and the demons with what they intended to do through me. I understand this scripture quite well from that experience after seeing how many people in this world claim to be Christian, yet live like the world and want the things of the world and act like they're living for God and that's how they got what they wanted. They are lukewarm, negotiating just enough to get what they want from the world and expecting to enter the kingdom to escape the punishment they deserve in hell when they die. But I'd rather receive my punishment or God save me, and He chose to save me instead though i was willing to accept my punishment!

Cold ice tea, cold water on a hot day. A cold drink on a hot day. Next time you have guests over try serving them luke warm coffee or tea. Or give a child warm water when they are heated from playing sports. It doesn't make sense right? Hot is good and useful . Cold is good and useful. The luke warm water in the area Jesus is speaking to was terrible to drink due to its calcium carbonate content. You will understand scripture better IF you also study the context of where and who Jesus was relating the message to. Hot and cold in 2:15 the context were both GOOD.

This video completely misses the point of Jesus' first miracle. It was never about encouraging drunkenness. Among other things, it demonstrates the love he had for his mother Mary, and her influence over him. When Mary tells him the wine has run out, he tells her, rather abruptly, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” She ignores him and instructs the steward to do as he tells him. Next thing you know, there's plenty of wine. That's one of the reasons why we pray to her--If Jesus would do something as seemingly frivolous as turning water into wine simply because his mother (in essence) asked him, imagine if she asks him to help us when we're in real trouble? As for why this reading isn't in the other gospels, remember that she went and lived with John after Jesus' death and that of the four gospel writers, John is the only apostle who actually wrote a gospel attributed to him. The actual authors of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, may not even have been aware of the story, because they weren't at the wedding. (That certainly applies to Luke and Mark, who weren't apostles, and most scholars agree that the apostle Matthew didn't actually write his eponymous gospel). Another reason Jesus may have performed the miracle was because a host running out of wine at a celebration would have been humiliating. Considering the importance of the day (a wedding), Jesus was almost certainly sympathetic to that. None of this had anything to do with Dionysus.

Praying to Mary is idolatry. She is a mere human. Jesus is God in the flesh. She sinned and needed forgiveness just like the rest of us. He didn’t do it because she asked Him to. Jesus said no one gets to the Father but by me(Jesus), therefore praying to his mother or any other of the saints is idolatry

    • @mikeblast7507
      @mikeblast7507 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@emeraldsky7072 Jesus as a Jew honored the ten commandments, one of which is honor thy father and mother. What better way to honor one's mother but for other people to honor her by seeking her intercession. And if God's mother intercedes on your behalf, well, I would think that's pretty important. You're the same kind of people who love to say, such and such isn't in the bible. Well, nowhere in the bible does it say she ever sinned. In fact, that's the point of the immaculate conception. Praying for anyone to intercede on your behalf isn't idolatry. We ask people all the time to pray for us. Is that idolatry too? Neither Mary nor the Saints have any power, beyond the ability to make requests on our behalf.

@@mikeblast7507 ”And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬ This clearly states that a follower of Christ is more blessed than the mother of Christ. ”as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV This one clearly tells us that no human being is righteous, not even Mary. ”While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭46‬-‭50‬ ‭KJV‬‬ These make it clear that she isn’t of any significance to pray to. Mary isn’t the source of Jesus’ divinity or older than God. Elevating her to such high esteem is idolatry. No amount of Hail Mary’s can save you. Only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ our Messiah. Not a priest or Jesus’ mom or any other of the saints.

Doesn't add up... So if you're poor and worry about food, Jesus is saying GIVE TO THE POOR AND YOU WILL HAVE FOOD? That doesn't add up...nor does it make sense that if you're rich, that you want to know when you will eat again, so just feed the poor and groceries will show up... This has everything to do with keeping His laws and statutes, which include feeding the poor AND keeping sabbath AND keeping his other laws.

To add this To the Church in Laodicea 14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither "cold nor hot". I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious I and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” See this.. Are we honoring God in things we do are we do stupid thing that is not honoring him? Fear God and Love God either one of this. God is not saying to live in disobedience, he is saying either you serve me with all your heart or don’t serve me at all. That’s why the Bible says no man can serve two masters, and to love God will all your heart soul and mind. This interpretation makes no sense. If being “hot” is a good thing, and being “cold” is a good thing, then why would God spit out someone with both, since that’s what being lukewarm means? That’s because being cold is NOT a good thing, being cold is being a heathen. He is saying I’d much rather you not serve me at all then to try and serve me while being in the world. That’s why he says in Luke 12 that he who doesn’t know the will of God and sins will be beaten with few stripes, but he who knows the will of God and still sins will be beaten with MANY stripes. God honors an unbeliever who chooses to live for himself a lot more than someone who lies and claims they believe, but still lives like an unbeliever. That’s why he said “CHOOSE this day whom you will serve”. Remember what Peter says in 2 Peter 2:21 (he is talking about those who claim to believe but still haven’t converted from their life in the world)-“For it would have been *BETTER* for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.” God would much rather you be real with your unbelief then to try and play fake with him. Serve him with all your heart or don’t serve him at all.

DON'T INTERPRET THE BIBLE WITH SPIRIT FEELINGS, BUT TEST SPIRIT FEELINGS WITH THE BIBLE There are a lot of Christians who think the way to understand the bible is to "let the Holy Spirit tell you what it means." Often, they'll quote I Corinthians 2:14a as justification to this wildly inaccurate way to properly understand the bible--"the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God." Sure, anyone who has not yet experienced the unconditional love and complete forgiveness of God is, of course, going to behave as if they are not loved and forgiven, which is why they can't "receiveth," that is, experience the things of the Spirit of God. This ignorance, and the behavior which follows, makes no change to what God does or thinks or plans to do, but it does prevent the yet-to-realize-whom-they-are children of God FEEL it and begin acting accordingly. But that's a LOT different from RELYING ON FEELINGS to interpret the Bible!!! If one thinks, "It doesn't matter what the original authors of the bible intended to say when they put ink to a papyrus or vellum, but to rely on "spiritual feelings" to interpret their words, then the Bible can be made to said whatever one wants it to...or more likely, whatever SOMEONE ELSE wants you to FEEL it means, by using time-tested means of MANIPULATING YOUR FEELINGS! Now, this is not to say it's impossible or wrong to get feelings IN REACTION TO when the Spirit is, in fact, communicating with you in some way! Trouble is, how to KNOW for sure if what you FEEL is an accurate representation of what God is saying or has said, or merely the result of all the many things that go on around us or which happened to us before that results in what we call "feelings." Well, this is where PROPERLY DIVIDING THE WORD makes all the difference. Whenever you THINK you're feeling the Spirit of God, you should TEST THAT SPIRIT!!! How? By comparing what you SUBJECTIVELY FEEL the spirit is telling you to what the Scriptures OBJECTIVELY say, then you can screen out any stray feeling you mistook for the spirit of God. But if you do the REVERSE--using your feelings to determine what the bible says, then you're in for the wildest ride of your life because you'll be like a ship at sea, during a storm, without a rudder...or worse, you'll become the slave of anyone who has mastered the art of manipulating your feelings in order to get you to think they are God's voice when it's really just another MAN controlling you! You assert that Mark’s “Aramaic” references where he cites as people who “witnessed” what Jesus said… C’mon, that right there is “heresay” evidence. Anyway, I’ll stick w/ Aslan over you in a NYC minute… Oh, unless you want to join with those who feel he practically was on the plane with the 9/11 hijackers…

Okay but what about the “spew thee out of my mouth” bit? Does that mean saved people can still go to hell if they aren’t acting right? Thanks

This scripture isn’t about a Christians faith we are saved by faith alone and in accepting what he’s done, that was a purpose of the Cross and it will always be enough “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Good deeds and good works dont save you your faith alone does, but being a Christian God will transform you to be more like Christ that you do good works to please him. “know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Wrong idea you got here because Abraham was given wine 🍷 and bread 🥖 by melkezeked so wine can’t be like you said linked with dyonisys it has older root in the Bible! The times of Abraham were much older then dyonisys.

Correct, but Dionysus was a god inherited by the Greeks from the Etruscans, and then the Egyptians. Who absolutely predate Abraham.

Jesus is a comic book character. Nothing more then Thor, Zeus, mithra, Osiris, etc etc. Simple a hellenized Jewish myth. Spending your life talking about the history of Jesus is frankly sad and a waste of time. The cognitive dissonance it takes to actually think the biblical narrative is some how true is astonishing. When religion is no longer taken seriously this world will be much much better off.

In this world, We have been trained to view Life only using Physical Senses and not Spiritual Senses as we should. Jesus Christ Turned Water Into Wine Means Jesus Christ Turned Pure Spirituality Into Spiritual Poison.

Awesome! Thank you! I was journaling about this after my Devo time and wanted to understand it’s hard reading. And it turned out to be simple after considering everything else I just read :)

Yes! Correct context taken into account. I studied this as a result of researching the Tithe and found she should have been on the receiving end, not the giving end - per the law of moses
