Zhuge Liang was good at making the most out of little, but overall Sima Yi is presented as the smarter, more calculated and more ruthless mind who also happened to have a superior set of trusted generals and family around him. Zhuge Liang often got much further than he should have on his reputation alone as people overhyped him to mythical levels, but in the end Sima Yi was still much more successful.

Xiahou Dun is definitely a cool and iconic dynasty warriors character and his story modes are really good but Guan Yu this man’s got the title god of war. He’s defeated Wen Chou and Yan Liang 2 of Yuan Shao’s strongest officers and managed to defeat Hua Xiong who was essentially the Lu Bu of Si shui gate. Guan Yu also has red hare which makes him much more epic and he was able to duel it out with Lu Bu to a draw although he did have Zhang Fei and Liu Bei there.
