Scenic Drive through Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota's Hidden Gem
Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway is a beautiful road in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It’s about 22 miles long and follows Highway 14A. As you drive through, you’ll see tall cliffs, thick forests, and waterfalls like Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish Falls. The canyon is especially colorful in the fall when the leaves change. It's a popular route for both drivers and cyclists because of its stunning views and nature spots.

I 70 through Glenwood Canyon is kind of tight for the speed traffic is allowed to go.

I visited in the first week of October 2022, it was fall season in New Hampshire.
Nice but much shorter route runs from South Reno to Incline Village without ever crossing California border.

These are all pretty drives, but they give a very skewed view of Utah as a whole. I would suggest that several drives in northern Utah should be included: the Alpine Loop in Utah County, the Nebo Loop, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Logan Canyon, and the Mirror Lake Highway are all very nice drives.
