I haven't tried this myself, but I remember it being mentioned in discord: "You just need to win the last mission with 1 or 2 pigs alive and restart the single player campaign I think you start with around 255 PP then" I only remember using the watta pork cheat way to do it as a kid.

@@xicozan5626 ok just tested it. I think it's only after normal mode playthrough though. The game goes back to the splash screen, if you start a new game with any team it gives you 250pp then tops it up to 256; almost like it gives you 1pp for completing a level and 5 for completing an island. Not sure if this is a glitch or intended.

Not by me, guess there's no official submitted pc speedruns at all. Not played much of the pc version myself; AI not moving makes it less fun so just sticking with PS1. Am preparing again for hard mode so hopefully will complete a run of that once I've de-rusted.

That's interesting, I wonder how that mission would play just as an individual level against the legends. I always feared them back in the day before knowing the easier way to defeat them; just had to rely on poison & hiding which is slow and tedious.

But I guess as I re-read your comment I think you mean playing as the legends which would be awesome 😎

Yeah it's great, just wish the cluster spawn patterns weren't random, though getting a kill is still a high chance most of the time 🙂

Thanks, glad to see a big fan of the game. Are you in the hogs of war discord? Link in description hopefully still works. Plenty of content in there, competitive leagues, challenge runs etc

The way I did m25 as a kid was to hide next to the pillbox, the ai can't turn the pillbox so jumps out, then cluster 🙂 The part at 5:25 is best if you knock the grunt out of bounds, but it's really rare to get the best knockback for that. It's unfortunate when the grunt is left hovering in the air.

Also to get the pig to disappear and explode you need to overkill a pig by 61+ damage, so unfortunately not enough damage from max cluster damage 105.

Oh yeah I can share my settings when I get back to my computer, but tnt lagging specifically sounds like you might be running NTSC version, if so that version is slower overall and tnt fuse times are around 3s longer. PAL UK is the optimal version, some European PAL versions have different rng in a few levels too. My duckstation settings are only for graphical quality anyway, the emulator would only lag if you have really old hardware from what I know.

I've never encountered any lags on my ps1 and only recently got into emulating so i did not quite know what version to pick, so i got the one i thought was the right one. Turns out i was wrong, huh? :D For the graphical part, yeah i've noticed, it looks so good on your recording! No stress with the setting sharing tho! I've got all the time in the world haha. If i had a capture device for my ps1 i would record my run there lol.

Actually it's a glitch as the setting is in the multiplayer options menu right before you would select a level. After setting this you can just exit back to main menu and start a new single player campaign 🙂

Thanks, I'll get back to full game speedruns again one day. But a lot of the new level strats are super luck dependant so unfortunately not too many strats that can be used.

Hogshead, any%, 100pp all the records are now wide open with this like 1-2s save 😅
