The most I liked in this piece is the word 'silenzio" and wish that performers could keep it as long as it possible )

For some reason the part from 3:56 reminds me of the similar part (chorus) in Birdland (Weather report).

The Norwegian jazz scene is incredible-so many enormously talented musicians playing highly original music that is so fresh and free of stock cliches. The centre of gravity of the new directions of jazz has definitely crossed the Atlantic-these guys are no longer in awe of their Amlerican cousins-a terrific upload.

Amazing amazing amazing amazing. Can't stop listening to this. I love the repetitive rhytm that develops into this rich cacophony of sounds without losing it's logic. Brilliant.

Thank you Tone!! I am trying to get the TV new cd... That said, I must tell you that the two Heidi Skjerve cds are INCREDIBLE. Amazon.ca has them listed from a UK seller, as does amazon.com. Also, Sissel's cd 'By This River' is another slice of fresh vocal ideas. I also bought my first ever MP3, because i could not find anyone selling the Kobert cd's (Ingrid's band) to North America. That tune about the dog, wow... awesome. Now, one day, I will make it to Trondheim.

Hopefully I did get this right (after two hours of you tubing through my space): Left to Right: Tone Åse (standing), Ingrid Lode, Torunn Sævik, Heidi Skjerve, Silje Karlsen, Sissel Vera Pettersen, Siri Gjære, Anita Kaasbøll

This piece is fantastic. And finding it led me to the Trondheim Voices, and seven more singers to get cd's from. It just doesn't end! I will say my first 'jazz' cd ever bought was in 1989. Rypdal/Vitous/Dejohnette with the blue cover.

Sorry I cannot make the shows upcoming in a week, but I will try to get a copy of the CD right away from someone. This is fantastic music. Vancouver Jazz Festival should bring over the group for 2011 and run some workshops. One can dream. Thanks to all. Keith Canada (near Vancouver)

This is an outstanding project. I cam across it after looking for some Eldbjorg Raknes videos. Okay, I know Balke and Tone Åse from other cd's... but now I have SEVEN other Norwegian singers to follow up on... and which one is which? That was quite the effort in and of itself... but I think I have it now. CD's already ordered by Heidi Skjerve and Sissel Vera Pettersen. Eldbjorg and I kinda have this pay upon receipt deal where I send US dollars to Norway, but anyhow... I'll try for more.
